I'm looking to read weight loss success stories. I'm looking for anyone who has lost a significant amount of weight (15 lbs or more) to give a specific outline on the method they used.

I would like to know:

-Your diet
-How often you went/go to gym
-What you did at gym.

Thanks in advance.

I lost 15 pounds of fat over a period of about 3 months using the Leangains method. I managed to increase all of my lifts in this time period. I'm not sure how much of a factor the fasting aspect was, though. I mean, I was eating at a clean deficit, while keeping protein high every day and lifting 3 times a week. If you do that, you're going to lose fat regardless of when you eat. I would still suggest looking into Leaggains. Even if you don't plan on fasting, there is still plenty of good info on high/low calories days and carb cycling.

18lbs and 2.3% bf in 3 weeks with nothing but diet and exercise. I got lazy when I was traveling and put all but 6lbs back on in 3 weeks.

Admittedly, I was eating like garbage prior to starting and the rate that I was losing was probably not sustainable, but it was awesome to look at the scale for that time. I am back on the diet now and have lost 4lbs this week. I want to get down around 200 which would require me to lose about 45 lbs.

The great thing is, its very easy to do!

protein shake within 30 min of waking (at least 30g protein).
intense circuit workout
lunch (burrito bol from chipotle without rice, cheese, or sour cream)
dinner (chicken, steak, pork, or salmon with black beans/corn, broccoli and/or cauliflower.
after dinner snack, sugar free jello or dry red wine

this was m-f and sunday. on saturday i eat whatever i want. literally, arbys, pizza, kegs of beer, you name it. as long as you are strict during the week you will be fine, but it is enough to keep you sane, knowing that saturday you can pig out.

circuit session was:

bench press 1x10
pull ups 1x10
air squats 1x20

sprint 3 mins

clean and press 1x10
weighted walking lunge 50 ft
pushups 1x25

sprint 3 mins

barbell row 1x10
roman dead lifts 1x10
shoulder press 1x10

sprint 3 mins

barbell curl 1x10
dips 1x10
ab exercise your choice 1x20

the whole workout should take 20-30 min.

Thats it. for more info about the diet check out the four hour body.

Thank you Stud and Tyte Eyez.

@Stud
I noticed you didn't do a lot of cardio.. Why is that?

I'm doing 20hr IF at the reccomedation of Marmal.
45 minutes of cardio a day.
Heavy weight sessions after the cardio, 3 day split
Lower body, upper body then ABS.
Followed by 10-15 minutes in sauna.

I'm spending 1hr 45 - 2 hrs a day at the gym but I don't care because I want to be in great shape and nothings going to stop me.

I started this thread for motivation for me and anyone else who wants to take control of their body, please keep em coming

I don't particularly care for long cardio sessions and theyre not required to lose weight quickly, so I don't do them!

If you are trying to lose weight quickly, try the diet/routine i posted. give yourself a month then go shopping for pants/shirts 2 times smaller.

I lost 30 pounds by eating fruit for breakfast and oatmeal for lunch everyday. I went from a 3,000 calorie a day diet down to about 1,600 calories a day.

Typical Breakfast: 2 Bananas and a Glass of Orange Juice.
Lunch: Cup of oatmeal with raisins or cherries.

No exercise necessary on my diet plan.

I lost 40lbs by running at 14km/h for 20 mins every day for two months. I joined the gym and worked out. I also completely cut out snacks and junk food. Just healthy food, working out and running at low speed

Lost 50 lbs in 4 months, and after 15 months I'm down 65 lbs.

I'll outline the first 4 months...

Lift weights 4-5 days per week, consisting of hitting every muscle group twice per week. NO cardio

Diet is the key to any changes you're trying to do to your body. Im lazy and end up not cooking meals as much as I like, so I live off subs. I have a protein bar in the am, and typically make my next 2 meals out of a footlong turkey sub on wheat bread with mustard and veggies. Eating 6 inch per meal. Drink only water, with an occassional diet coke.

You have to go militant on your diet, and really watch your sugar and sodium intake if you want real gains. Most people overlook sugar and salt while dieting. These two things are very important

I've been knowledgeable on nutrition since I was 18. My cousin asked for my help to lose weight. As of December last year he weighed in at 130kg/286lbs. As of last week he weighed in at 95kg/209lbs.

His diet consisted of lean protein and fibrous vegetables. He does full body weight training twice a week, I don't make him do cardio, but I encourage him to walk a few times a week for 30-40 minutes if time allows, as he is sedentary at work.

I am extremely proud of him, he has not weighed under 100kg since he was 12-13 years old. When he first started weight training, he was only capable of half squats. It is now ass-to-grass. His confidence has improved ten-fold, energy levels are up, and his outlook on life in general.

The dieting method is Lyle Mcdonalds Rapid Fatloss Handbook, I highly recommend it.

Lost 18 pounds in two months. All I did was cut my calories to around 2000 a day and then I would lift three times a week and do an hour of cardio a day. I ate whatever, and just switched all of my drinks to water. I was able to get a substantial amount of gains too.

Back in 2004 I went from 205 to 185 by lifting Mon/Wed/Fri and running 2-3 miles on Tues/Thurs. I was single back in those days and it was much easier to eat healthy. Also had 2 other guys that hit the gym with me on those days. We'd mountain bike on Sat/Sun sometimes too. Once I got through the initial pain period there was no stopping me. I was tan as sh1t back then too. And, no coincidence, but this led to my most productive pvssy-getting era of my life. I can't say enough about what looking good (better yet, FEELING GOOD) does for your sex life.
