I'm about sick of text messages to the point of wanting to cancel my text plan altogether. When I look back at all my failed relationships, I can honestly say that it has always revolved around text message problems.
Examples -
A text is misunderstood
A text is sent to the wrong person, causing confusion and suspicion
At text was not received
A text was ignored
A response to a text took too long
You don't know if someone actually received your text
Someone can save your poorly worded text and use it against you and show people
Someone texts too much just to keep you on a leash
Someone gets upset I don't initiate enough texts.
I don't care about most crap people text me, like a meme or random complaint about traffic
Texting becomes the dominant mode of communication
Texting is too impersonal; I'd rather hear voices.
People start judging the quality of your bond by how you text
I just hate texting. It takes too long to write something. Call and discuss to save time..
It seems texting brings out the neediness and paranoia in people while also making us lazy communicators.
So I wasn't dating back in the days when there was no texting. For those who were, was it any better then? Do you find texting to be better for dating and relationships?
I'm wondering if I could improve my dating and relationships by forcing women to talk on the phone and creating some mystery in the relationship by giving us some time to miss each other and think of things to talk about on our next encounter.
How do you guys think this would go over?
