Oh man I'm glad I found you guys. Can you help me decide how or even if i should help my friend. This is the situation. He just meet this girl who is 30 with 2 kids he's 35. He's known this girl just talking to her every so often and has liked her but she was in a relationship i guess. Well she just ended her 4 yr relationship and now my friend has jumped all the way on board. He moved in with her with in the first week and after dating for just 1 1/2 months their now engaged with a wedding date set for their 6th month anniversary.

Now I met this girl and she seems ok not all that, still lives at home with her mom, and has a regular job. That's right my friend moved in with gf, her 2 kids and her mom. I have no clue what has come over him. Now this is a guy that has been with me and we've played the field over the last 10 yrs. My only guess is that he's really wanting to settle down now. I haven't said anything to him about what he's thinking and either has any of his other friends not wanting to strain the friendship cuz he's falling hard for this girl. Instead of saying anything there placing side bets on how long it will last.

So what if anything should i say to my friend or is there a chance this is love and it will last the test of time. If not then help me win some cash. The choices are will it not get to the wedding 4 months away, 6 months, 1 yr, 2 yrs, 3 or more. Friends decided if it lasts 3 yrs screw the bet, too long to keep it running.

There's the old saying, "You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink". The only thing you can do is advise your buddy not to rush into something like this. However, he isn't going to listen to you. Unfortunately, in times like this, all you can do is stand there and watch him take the plunge. But when he gets hurt, you can be there for him and help him recover.

That's about all you can do. Regardless of what you say or show him, he's going to do whatever he wants.

Print out "Weapons of Mass Seduction" by Senor Fingers or a copy of the Don Juan Bootcamp and see to it that it finds his hands and eyes. From there, his curiosity should be piqued. Perhaps he'll want to be shown this site, perhaps he'll still want to get married and leave his eyes closed.

Some people just don't want to be "unplugged".

No one likes to receive advice that was not requested.
However, a real friend (and for that matter a family member) is entitled to give ONE advice without it being requested.

So, give him that advice he didn’t ask for. And make sure you don’t repeat and nag him. Simply let him know how you feel and why you feel that way.

Then leave it at that (unless he asks for more).

Right, Latinoman.

Dude should just hand him the printouts and tell the guy: "Hey, do me a favor, buddy: read this and really consider it. There is a lot more where that came from, if you are interested. Just do me this favor and read this."

And let the dude come to his own conclusions.

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.
