What is some advice on plateau's? Last August I was 230 at 6'1". So I was fat. I started working out and got down to 220 by October. I was there for months so I started slacking. Picked it up again in march. This time I am using an app to count calories and striving for 1800 a day. Its been 5weeks with the app and I have been under budget every week. Been running 3-4 times a week for 25-30 minutes or 2.5-3 mile. I also walk to work which is around 2.5 miles a day, and I haul ass. I am down to 212 now, but its been like 3 weeks and it won't budge. My goal is 200-205 by mid July, but this plateau is really tough on me right now. I am pretty sure the main issue is drinking, but I have been trying to limit the beer and go with captain and diet. Any advice on this damn plateau?

Stop running and start lifting. Look at your macros, ensure you're going high protein and low carb or keto.
If you have to do cardio make it HIIT, but you really don't need it.

true. Its 70% diet.

but lift to build muscle => more muscle speeds up metabolism=>faster metabolism burns calories/bodyfat faster => SO LIFT TO LOSE WEIGHT :D

All is well getting low calories, but you ned to make sure they're the RIGHT calories. Beer is not good calories to drop bodyfat.

post a template of your diet and training programme.

Couple things that make it tough on me when losing weight and gaining muscle.

I hate green veggies. I read a few things how people have blended up something. Anyone have any ideas?

I hate the gym and lifting. I have done it in the past and it's just one of those things I can't get into.

I really am not after big muscles or a 6 pack. I really just want to lose the belly, love handles and get to a weight of 200 or so. I think I would look pretty good at this level. And it's doable as it's 12 lbs from here.

I did my first HIIT today and I can feel the difference. I didn't quite make the interval I was trying for which was 10 sets, so I ended up with 7 sets.

Warm up Jog for 4 minutes at 6 mph on the treadmill.
7 sets of 45 second 10 mph sprint back down to 1:15 of 6 mph jog. 7 did a good job of beating me up so I stopped there. Ended up with a cool off run for another 5 minutes.

As for the diet...last 5 weeks it's something like this. I eat bananas a lot as they help with my digestion.

Breakfast -
At the Office - A couple cups of grapes and banana
WFH or Weekends - 4 scrambled eggs and bacon

Lunch -
At the office - Chicken, chicken and more chicken. Usually some kind of sandwich. Subway roasted chicken and the like.
WFH or Weekends- Chicken or Beef soft taco's or more chicken meals

Dinner -
Usually it's a turkey sandwich or some sort of meat or chicken. Sometimes if I didn't have it for breakfast I will do the eggs/bacon.

I do go out a lot but even then I have been trying to watch it a bit. Less heavy beers and more lite and booze. But I still have my bad days, but I value fun over a 6 pack so I am ok with that.

Don't drink your calories, just man up and get down that veg. They're worth getting to like.

Suck it up mate, lifting will make this whole process faster and your results will be better. You'll look much better with some muscle as well. Just do it, your health will thank you.

Stop eating the grapes and bananas, you're just consuming tons of sugar. The bananas really need to go, they're pure sugar.

Switch to straight spirits, light beers suck in every aspect

Never try to read a woman's mind. It is a scary place. Ignore her confusing signals and mixed messages. Assume she is interested in you and act accordingly.
