Planning to Start a Business; Help Please.

I am currently in college, but am considering starting a business and will draw up the business plan over winter break.

I am looking for guidance, especially from successful, business-oriented individuals who may wish to mentor me through the process, for the sheer joy of altruism for the immediate time being.

I am specifically looking for someone who can give suggestions on financing and market research, and is willing to help for an extended period of time (1/2 year, most likely). Alternatively, if anyone knows someone else who might be willing to help, please let me know too.

yeah and in general we come here to talk about women, sex, etc.. not to discuss business.

Hooah! What places do you guys have in mind?

I posted with the knowledge that there have been past threads of being financially successful.

I promise I won't be offended if you mention names. But it's pretty funny how people with ZERO business experience can determine what information is good and what is bad.

Honestly, if you want business tips I would recommend asking backbreaker. I've had several discussions with him and I can assure you he knows his sh!t.

I won't comment on business since my view is a bit pessimistic. I will say that I would rather make a few phone calls and sign a few contracts to build wealth rather than deal with the negative aspects of business. Just my personal opinion....

read "RICH DADS guide to investing" amazing book with great buisness model. also read the rest of the series. it will help you more than we can.

shot me a PM when you get some time.. what are you interested in doing? What type of money do you have, or need? what does your credit look like? any business partners?

BTW, thoose books, like Rich dad poor dad are a good starting point, but don't offer much that you will learn actually running a business. I learned more in a couple of months than I did in a year of "preparing"
