Places to go for first dates

I'm going to be starting community college in 2 weeks and by the end of the week i'm going to have my car. Granted right now i have no car so i can't do much. However when i get my car i'll have the power to take chicks out. What are some good cool places to take chicks out simply to get to know them better and get them comfortable with me. i know i can take them out to starbucks, but every time i take a new chick out i'm not going to want to take her in coffee. i live in the mesquite in texas and i'm simply looking for new places to go to or to just take a chick out im interested in preferably for a first date.

Action dates. The first date is about getting a person comfortable with you more than getting to know their favorite food or favorite movie. Sitting around drinking coffee and talking isn't the best thing because it's just you and her staring at each other for an hour or so trying to think of stuff to say.

You're probably under 21 (I assume, since you're just starting college), so you might not be able to do this one, but I usually take a girl to throw darts or play pool. You show up, grab and drink and play a game or two. If there's a lull in the conversation you can talk about the game and how you're doing. There's that one big topic of conversation so you never feel pressed to think of some subject.

Now, obviously, you will have conversations about other things. What I typically do is take a girl out to this bar near my house where we can play darts. Play a game or two of that and bust on her a little. Show her how to hold a dart (kino) and generally have a good time. After we're done with that we usually sit down and just chat, which is easier now because we're both comfortable being around each other. That initial apprehension of being together is gone, so things can flow more smoothly.

If you're under 21 you can always play mini golf or go bowling.

just make it casual. its a first date she hasn't EARNED an expensive date yet. even if your bill gates godchild. the girl im datin i just took to a quite dirt road and talked and made-out. now im not saying do what i did because alot of girls are more high maintainance, i had to determine that first. but you could just take her to a pool hall, bowling, or something where you do somthing fun but you can still talk. the classic movie is ok but take her somewhere and just talk to her for awhile first because talking in the movie theater is rude and some girls will be thinking i wish he'd watch the F****** movie or i wish he'd F****** make a move already.
