i was in the pharmacy and i saw that they had pills that supposedly would increase your mental awareness and help you concentrate by transporting more blood to your brain. They contained some natural herbs and some other stuff that i dont remember. Do these pills really work?

Cause I have MAJOR problems with concentration. Like, everytime I sit down to study, something else just suddenly pops up in my head and i end doing that instead of concentrating about my studies. Any tips on how to overcome this?

I suffer from this problem quite badly too and have looked into different methods of concentrating. Yoga breathing exercises seem to work the best for me. It increases circulation and provides more blood/oxygen to the brain (just like these pills). Headstands also serve this purpose.

The big problem is finding the time and place. You can't exactly do a headstand just before an exam and even breathing exercises are a bit difficult to do without attracting attention.

But generally there are a lot of things you can do to increase circulation, oxygen to the brain and thus concentration. Regular exercise, cold showers, deep breathing, diet (the stomach needs blood to digest food so try to eat light before you need you mind the most). Slowing down can also improve concentration considerably.

These things should help, but I'm yet to find something that will totally eliminate my short attention span. If anyone does know of a miracle cure I'd love to hear it.

man, my mom made me take that sh*t when I was 12 so i could have an advantage over the other kids, but now I'm dumber than ever. ..Nah, but they probably work. It depends what kind of pills or dietary supplement your drinking.

They have pills that will claim to do everything you can fix a price tag to. It doesn't mean they work. Odds are good that the only benefits you'll get from taking them will be from you BELIEVING that they are working, and not from them actually doing anything different to you...

Have you given any consideration to going to your doctor to see if you have an adult form of ADD/ADHD? I'd suggest starting off with some Ritalin...

go to bodybuilding.com and look up nootropics on their message board forums.

I haven't tried any on the products listed yet. But have tried the amino acid tyrosine, which gave me energy.

I've been thinking about trying some of those products.
