i can never think of a situational opener, do you have any?

"hi how are you" just wont cut it really.

best situational openers are when you notice something about her clothing, like her shoes for instance.

Take a good look around the area she's at and comment on the thing she's about to purchase.

Example: If she's getting vegetables (whichever it is)
"You know, I was thinking about getting some (WHATEVER), too. Problem is, I don't know what to cook with (WHATEVER) today. What would you recommend?"

Or,

Notice a thing she's wearing that catches your attention (could be clothing, accessories, anything) and proceed from there.

Example: "Hey, that's a really interesting (wristband/shirt/belt) you got there. Looks great! Does it represent anything special to you or just wear it 'cause it looks cool?"
