Hey guys,

It just seems to me as someone newly single that picking up girls in the street/bank/cafe is a way better strategy than internet dating.

Say a reasonably attractive girl puts up a profile on dating site and lives in a reasonably big city. How many messages do you think she will get in her first week? 100? 200?

In contrast, how many times does the girl in the cafe/bank/street get asked out by a total stranger in a week? I´m guessing hardly ever, maybe 10 times a week at most if we are talking about asking a girl out rather than just flirting.

So shouldnt we get our courage up and avoid the cheesy dating websites? If you only asked out girls in the street you would get used to rejection far better than simply not getting a message in your inbox.

in terms of numbers, the street offers far less competition and far greater mystery. Also, asking a girl out in front of strangers shows way more confidence than an email ever will and its one way to make an impression rather than a "witty" email title in her overflowing inbox.

Who´s with me...

makes sense

i never understood online dating. i see it here all the time

and no offense to all of you

but that **** is just lame and pathetic.

it makes you look weak and desperate the fact that your there....

i would much rather approach females in real life because you already know what they look like etc..........compared to online girls that take way better pictures than they actually look.

and correct me if im wrong but those online things are probably like 65% guys...

i would rather put away $15 a month(or how ever much it is) towards my phone bill

I agreed with you up until about last November. I signed up for some free site and scooped up a pretty decent number of girls. So, add that to the girls I meet at work, parties, and socializing, and it makes for a pretty good rotation.

It's a crutch for guys who are unattractive or have terrible social skills, but if you look good and know how to talk to people, you can clean up. Because 90% of your competition is lame, and throwing excessive compliments to girls, and taking shirtless pics of themselves in bathroom mirrors.

So, I don't blame you for thinking the way you do. Because I thought the same. But online isn't bad as a supplement to normal face-to-face pickups. You shouldn't build your whole game around it though.

The way I see online dating is the way I see working out.
Workout = Real life
Online Dating = Supplement.

You wouldn't take a supplement if you weren't working out so therefore online dating is useless without RL game. Plain and simple. Its just something to add to your already growing pool of dates.

no i still disagree. if your doing fine approaching females in real life or meeting them up at parties and other social events than the thought of online dating shouldn't even cross your mind unless your like a super pimp who wants to be getting at like 35 girls at a time or something
