I started off super skinny at 124lbs
started working out at the beginning of september
this photo was taken in january at 142lbs (+18lbs!)
tried doing a super clean bulk so i could stay lean

Currently at 150lbs but I think i've reached a plateau, really hard to get past this weight.

What do you guys think aesthetically? Still too skinny?

Right now it's

Breakfast
Either 6 Eggs, Scrambled.
or
4 Eggs, Scrambled/fried and 2 pieces of whole wheat toast

1glass milk non-fat

Mid-Morning Snack (pre workout)
1 Orange
2 scoops whey, 2tbsp peanut butter, 1tbsp Almond Butter

Post Workout
2 Scoops whey, 2tbsp peanut butter handfull of almonds

Lunch
Chicken Sandwich on whole wheat bread with tomatoes/lettuce/cheese and ranch
1 cup of fruit yogurt w/granola

OR

fried chicken breast, with whole wheat toast and melted cheese

Afternoon Snack
Rice cakes with 1-2tbsp peanut butter spread on them
and a handfull of peanuts

Supper
1 cup brown rice
with 2 chicken breasts fried
and 1 -2 cups of caeasar salad

Late night
Home made pizza snack
1 whole wheat pita
tomato paste, chicken, diced tomato, red pepper and mushrooms

Then at this point I feel like I cant even breathe and sleep
BUT STILL PLATEAUING AT 148 - 152 (10lbs heavier than the photo)

I'm thinking I need to take a break or something, or maybe a break from bulking, I just cant seem to push past this.
I'm thinking of just buying 30 tubs of hagen das ice cream, melting it and drinking that sludge down lol

You obviously need to up the calories by quite a bit. I unable to tell that you've been bulking at all to be honest. Your meals are tiny. A cup of rice and 2 chicken breasts for dinner? That's nothing. I'd switch the milk to whole too.

Congrats on your gains! As far as you looking skinny, I'd say you look athletic. Though if you want to get even bigger, keep eating alot and stay with your training program. Good Luck!

How is that possible when you haven't seen a before picture?
I used to weigh 124lbs, that's substantially less.
I've been trying to keep my bulk as clean as possible that's why ive been eating clean.

And the size of my dinner isnt what's important, it's the fact that I eat 6 small meals a day.
All roughly 500 - 600 calories
which is 3000 - 3600 a day.
That's a lot for my frame size/weight category.

I know I need to eat more, clearly, to get past my plateau, but the fact that you're insinuating its because I eat a small dinner? That makes no sense.
When bulking dinner isnt always the MAIN meal of the day.
It's a bunch of meals working together to reach high caloric intake.

You should change the title of this thread to "Brad Pitt Fight Club Build"
If that's what you were going for then you've got it spot on!
Lots of girls would be keen for that type of build

Yes it's less but 5 months is a damn long bulk and you really should be a good deal bigger. Eating clean is good, just eat more.

I isolated that as an example, it's truly tiny. If you upped each meal by an extra 100-200 calories, you'd see the difference. 3000-3600 obviously isn't enough, you should be far bigger. Don't look at frame size etc, they're all very off.

What is your routine? You don't have anywhere near the muscle growth that you should.

How can you say that when he hasn't shown us his starting size?
If he was 124lbs when he started
and 142 in that picture then thats 18lbs in 4 months.
That's not bad at all.

Yeah i've got to eat more, I'm basically looking for some better diet instructions
as to what are some good meal plans.

Dude before I looked like christian bale in the machinist.
124lbs is F***ING SKINNY I think i'm doing damn fine for only 5 months in.
18lbs isnt bad at all from what i've read most people only get 5 - 10 lbs in a year
plus the fact that i'm at extremely low BF% i'm quite happy with the way I look. I'd still like to continue bulking until late 150's

Tell her a little about yourself, but not too much. Maintain some mystery. Give her something to think about and wonder about when she's at home.

Agreed. Unless you take roids, it would be foolish to expect more than that increase in that time frame. That's actually pretty good.

To be honest, OP, I'm not really convinced you are even at a plateau. How long has it been since you have had gains? And have you been increasing your weights in your workout?

Spot on.

Hobbs, don't let anybody cheapen the strides you've made. 18 pounds in that amount of time is impressive. Don't go drastically changing what has worked for you thus far. Also, don't look at the scale on a daily basis. Focus more on making weekly strides. Keep eating clean and trying to get stronger. You can't expect your body to put on much more than a half pound of muscle a week. Over a year, that's 24 lbs of muscle. Look at the long term. If you aren't getting bigger or stronger, up your calories by a couple hundred and try that for a couple weeks. Overeating by too much will only lead to fat gain.

Yeah, i'm 5'10

I wouldn't go that far though, 150lbs at 5 feet would be pretty fat lol

I remember when I first started working out I just wanted to get to '140lbs at least'
then after hitting 140 I thought '150lbs should be good'
Now after getting to 150lbs I feel like 160 - 165 should be perfect

But I hope i'm not falling into a case of 'bigorexia' lol
