Hey everyone.

I saved up a bit of money and I was thinking of getting a new cellphone because the one I have now has like 1 hour battery life, is 3-4 years old, and is kinda banged up.

I was wondering what cell phones you'd all recommend for me. I'm thinking of getting it before I go to college. My service provider is Sprint, but I can change that starting around october when the contract runs out.

I was wondering what tastes everyone else had and considered good looking regarding phones. Please none of that Motoral Razor stuff because it costs like $500 USD. I'm thinkin around $200 USD range and after rebates it'll be about $20 USD or something. TY in advance.

Well....I love my motorola v60, even though it isnt color or anything. I would take it over that razor anyday.

My friends swear by the sidekick though, so check that out. I think its too big for my taste.

Sidekick is too big. Plus I'm not going to be typing much using AIM or anything. This phone is for appearance, scheduling, and emergencies. I don't talk for 5 hours and stuff. 100 minutes a month is more than enough for me.

That's my choice from motorola. Sleek, thin, hot. But not razor expensive. I need to switch to cingular for it though....goddam Sprint is lame with their fugly phones.

That Motorola is more than 2 years old. My girlfriend has one, and it's a lot better than mine. There's games and internet and voice recorder and it's a flip phone, which all is a helluva lot better than my goddamn Nextel warrior. Hell at least it's tough. But I hate Nextel for their ****ty ****ty phones.

I have a Samsung A610, its a flip phone with a camera and a screen that swivels around. Its pretty cool and I don't know too many people that have it even though its a few months old, nowadays they can be had relatively cheap. I'm happy with mine and still get compliments on it.

I'm afraid the pulling and pushing will mess it up and it will have poor reception/voice quality because of that sliding feature. Anyhow, it looks cool and the screen stays safe.

how about this, please give me feedback about your service provider and let me know what you think of them/their phones/their service because I hate sprint with a passion.

I have a Virgin Mobile pre paid phone...has great reception.

Plus you get exclusive ringtones (im a big ringtone freak) and ig you get the v8010 flasher or whatever its called (the one I have basically a camera phone) you can download actual songs with the words instead of poly ringtones.

Paid 160 some for the phone it's prepaid but I liek it better than getting screwed over by a stupid plan like others I know. They have cheaper ones though, you might want to check them out.
