I talk to this girl I work with alot. We exchanged phone numbers a few weeks ago and neither of us have called the other. I don't want to seem like a wussy if I do call her. A friend of mine said I should keep the cnversation short and I should end it first. He also said I should pretend to get a phone call from a friend, and then tell the girl I'll call her back. Doing this time the girl is suppose to wonder if I'm talking to another girl and it's suppose to show that I'm busy. It also shows that I'm not dependent on her because I put another friend before her.

What do you guys think? What tricks do others use when calling girls?

You're overthinking this.

There's no 'tricks' as such. If anything, there's a 'prank'... but I don't think it's what you're looking for.

Just call her, man. Be natural, don't talk for too long... and always leave a conversation at it's high point, with notice to the future "lets talk later/tomorrow/when we meet up on friday/whatever."

Don't think there's a technique to this.

Since you said you talk a lot at work just ask next time what she's doing on the weekend and if she doesn't have plans tell her you'll give her a call and you too can hang out. It's no big deal, the girl obviously likes you in some way if she gives you her digits. yeah keep the convo to a minimum, use the phone as a device to set up your plans/date and that's it. Don't call her to chat about work stuff or life in general, you can do that there.
