people giving BS advice

i was looking at the posts made by a member, he had not posted a huge amount but its over 50 and yet everytihng he has posted is BS, total BS yet people with fewer posts might look up to people with more posts for advice asuming they know what they are talking about.

I think there should be some kind of rating, to show how good people are at giving advice, say after a certian number of posts, say after 300 you get rated out of 5 stars on how good your are at giving correct advice so then people who need advice know it is from a credable source.

you should really consider doing it, even if you only implent it for say, people with over 400 posts.

what do you moderators out there think about this

that doesnt say anything thou does it, just because i did not see it, i look aorund a lot, so it beats me as to how i missed it but i must say its irelevant to the qualit of what i say, just look at some of the past posts i have made, not bad at all

I think it sucks, but we can't just delete people who give bs advice.

You just go through the forums posting, even in mature dj's (even though your 16), it just looks like you are spamming yourself.

im not spamming, sure not every single 1 of my post is a brilliant piece of advice but go to the members page search for me and check out my posts you will see i have given a lot of decent advice.

Since nothing on that other thread is relevant to what you proposed in this one, perhaps I'll interject with some irrelevant advice I made on the prior thread... which has absolutely nothing to do with this one. i think people should be given a rating based upon their SPELLING. in your case, zero stars. the quote above is actually pretty good for you--just three spelling errors.

the advice that you give isn't as good as you think it is. man, you're 16 and you're giving us advice in the Mature forum. you're annonying, flat out. you should stick to the high school forum.

the Mods cannot go around and rate posters based upon the 'quality' of advice given because, a) it's subjective, b) you'd need 20 full time people at 60k each. the rep system on vB would be abused to the point of worthlessness.

I dont' know... maybe give really good members a nice Avatar like "GURU" but in big red text.

You could even get fancier like "GURU levle 1-10" etc.

Given by the mods whenever they feel a member is above par.

Well since a rating system that automated won't be adopted any time soon.

You could create a on-line test that covers major DJ ideas. The results would be sent to the mods and where the

Don Juan, Don Juan Master things are,

The titles, you could have the mods change them to Guru or whatever the board chooses.

You can still give good advice and be a DJ without it, but this would just help the people on this site get a guaging. It doesn't solve the newb problem at all.
