The Pentagon is implementing new military plans that will make the concept of women in combat a reality.

The Center for Military Readiness warned this week that the Pentagon is flouting policies mandated by Congress in an effort to implement politically correct policies that increase the number of uniformed women put into harm's way.

Others suggest the Pentagon tinkering with rules forbidding women in combat is a clear effort to increase boots on the ground as the troop-strapped DoD faces manpower shortages in Iraq and elsewhere around the globe.

Seven female U.S. soldiers have thus far been killed in Iraq and many more have been wounded. The question is, why? Aren't women supposed to be kept out of units that may see combat?

Am I the only one here that thinks women have no place in combat situations, and the only job of female soldiers in Iraq should be either being nurses, or cooking for the soldiers?

seriously enough with the politically correct BS! You know what this is going to lead to? lots of women getting killed, captured and raped, and lots and lots of casualties which is going to hurt morale of the troops, and will fire up more hate towards the military.

Can women have a place in warfare? Sure. Even on the battlefield.

However, the military is about winning, not equality. I can't see a woman in artillery, tanks, special forces etc.

I can see women having a place in communications and logistics, piloting, medics, mechanics, etc. Woman have a place in combat, in support roles and "non-physical" combat roles (piloting).

C'mon they deserve it

They were b!tching about equal rights all the time with the feminist movement. Well baby they got it now.

Maybe now they will also realize that they should get rid of the divorce rulings that screw over the man. Give them equal rights man and woman.

Seriously I think that it is the wrong place to send women to. You must understand that in those countries they don't want to show a womans face and they hide them behind the burka's or bee keeper suits (Bill Maher (sp.)). They will fight 10 times harder to get them out of there. This is the same reason that the Isreali army doesn't have women in frontline postions. I don't know if they changed that ruling but I believe that it is still around.

I think it is time to take away their right to vote. Whoever is responsible for that abomination which started this whole mess must surely be burning in hell!

Women ARE in the army and many serve in combat situations.

In the US forces, women often serve in logistics and communications roles.

In China, there are female frontline medical divisions.

In Russia, there are even female commando divisions.

The reason women don't serve on regular combat roles is due to a lot of reasons, not all of them physical. Psychologically, there are difficulties in positioning men and women together.

But in some ways, it would shut those feminists up if women were sent to fight on the front lines. ;)

Only feminists should be in combat, I want to see them break down in the field, lol.

Joe The Homophobe,
Your name reflects a lot of insecurities, nothing wrong with being a man, but to actually choose that as your name is hideous, I'm sure you have lots of great traits that could have been used in the place of "homophobe" in your name.
