I was at the bar talking to this guy who presented me with a theory that circled around pavlov's conditioned responses. I think he stole this idea from somewhere else because the way he laid it out wasn't entirely clear but I filled in the gaps myself.

First off he asked me if I wore colonge or some kind of body spray and I said "F*ck yeah mon!" He then said to me that scent is the reaction closest tied to memory (I think I heard that in and old spice commercial but whatever) an If I used it to my advantage I wouldn't even have to utter a word to my girlfriend about wanting to have sex. He then theorised that if I wore the same fragrence every time I did have sex with my girlfriend that after a while simply being around her while wearing that fragrence, she'd have a conditioned response and start thinking about having sex with me without her even knowing it.

I argued with him for like 30 mins (cause that's what I do) about the variables and what not that could come into play creating a scenerio like that. But I guess it wouldn't hurt to try it. I mean how hard is it to put on the same body spray or whatever before having sex?

Any thoughts?

Well, you may be right, because scent is the most powerful memory trigger. That's why I always think of sex when I'm at the racetrack and get a waft of burning rubber...

So do you think it could work? I'm thinking of giving it a shot, it won't take too much effort and the worst that'll happen is I'll smell good while having sex, which isn't really a negative conciquence.

Not entirely untrue. I've sprayed my room with Curve virtually every time after I've had sex with the girl I'm currently with. I don't really wear it "out"... just for post-sex room freshening. The other week we got to talking about it and she mentioned that she associates that scent exclusively with sex now.

Dude what happens if another guy she finds attractive spray the same cologne as you?! Is that means she will want to have sex with him?!

Actually your own body natural smell is different then anyone else, so if she already likes having sex with you on a constant basis - it means she can get turned on for sex by just you removing your shirt.

Hmm I see diablo has first hand knowledge so now I'm thinkin I definatly have to try it.

If another guy wears it damage I think she might think of me even though someone else is wearing it. After all the memory linked to the scent would be visions of me, and not whatever random guy she comes across in theory. I don't think it would turn her into a raging sex maniac (all though I probably wouldn't minde either) going out and jumping the bones of just anybody... I think.

Either way it sounds like something I should try. Thanks for the input.

Dude... there's your problem.

You're supposed to put the condom ON... not light it on fire.

Yes, scent is a very powerful trigger! Several times I've passed a woman and caught a sniff of her perfume and it has brought up very vivid memories of previous girlfriends including sexual feelings and emotions. In fact, there are also some colognes I can't wear because they bring back painful memories.

So I believe this can be used to an advantage.
