Everybody does at first dude. I know what you're saying, all those big ass dudes giving you looks and sh!t. Don't worry about them, just zone them out and do your thing.

My problem is the hoes at the gym. When there's fine ass honeys around in some skimpy shorts, I just can't seem to focus like I should.

focus on your workouts and not on others

although you could use it to your advantage, knowing that you'll look like they do after you really get into shape.

print out the complete list of compound movements with pictures from bodybuilding.com or purchase a workout book which shows you how to do each exercise (i reccomend weight training workouts that work by james orvis) practice form at home with a broomstick for barbell and 2 bananas for dumbels.

when you think you have mastered perfect form and you have constructed a workout regimen, go to the gym and practice with light weights which should let you pump out reps in the 20-30's (this will prepare your body for the punishment to follow). do this for 1 month then move on to a bulking routine in a low rep range 4-10.

Once you can use the hotties as motivation for your workout, to add 5-10lbs to your lifts with the same form, you know your set at the gym :)

Thanks guys, im due to go in two hours at 8pm when its a bit quieter (hopefully!) to get my form right.

Last week the gym instructor showed me how to do dumbell presses. He gave me two 16kg in each hand. I could do about 10 reps with these but my technique was awful as it was my first time.

Should i use 8kg on each hand tonight to get used to it?

Dont wanna look like a weak little chump tho! :p

Get your form down, then go heavy.

to echo what's been said there's nothing to worry about. Just keep it light and work on form and make sure you educate yourself first. We all start somewhere and most people only 'laugh at' or 'look down' at the guy who is inventing crazy looking exercise and has no clue what hes doing or the guy who throws 3 plates on the bench and has 6 spotters help him get the weight up.
