Overheard a gold mine of a conversation while I was out grabbing a bite to eat today. Two girlfriends talking to each other. Went like this:

HB6: I feel like Jim has a really strong emotional connection to me. And I have one with him too. But not in a sexy way. In a friend way. He's a really sweet friend, he really is. I'm lucky to have him.

Let me translate that for you guys:

I don't give two fvcks about him, but the ego boost he gives me is enough to let him stick around. I know he wants to fvck me, and that makes me feel even more validated. Although he has no chance in hell of ever getting any. But don't get me wrong, I'm still getting pounded by Tyrone, and Paul from across the street too, so I'm fully satisfied. Whenever I need a pick me up or quick attention fix in between fvck breaks, Jim is always there for me. I love having him around on my terms. Although I don't have any sexual feelings for him, he makes for an excellent emotional tampon.

It's not just what she said, it's how she said it. The tone of her voice was like she was reassuring a small baby who just got finished crying. In other words it was clear to me how she felt about Jim. It was cringe worthy to listen to.
