What can I do get my lungs in shape? I have tryed to start jogging but I will go for about five min. then I am out of breath. Will this get better the more I try or am I doomed?

Thats pretty normal if you're outta shape. It will get better, but you need good fuel and rest. Eat lots of complex carbohydrates, esp before you run. Whole wheat bread(with olive oil) and legumes (I use garbonzo beans) before my bjj have done wonders for me. Also drink lots of water, esp before you run too. Eat lots of protien so your body repairs itself. Also, get plenty of rest, start off running 3 days a week, then add more days as you get better.

try climbing flights of stairs, ride a bike, or if you have access to a gym, work on a cardio machine that is somewhat less challenging than jogging.

is it just your lungs, or are you carrying around signficantly extra talldarkandhansomeness?
