I saw a program last night on the Animal Planet Channel that was very interesting. I have even more confidence in the self-help programs like the following: Brian Tracy's "The Psychology of Achievement," Anthony Robbin's "Awaken the Giant Within," and Napolean Hill's "Think and Grow Rich." These programs stress the importance of positive thinking... visualizing yourself to be the person you want to become. When I first started self-help positive thinking, I was skeptical. But the self-help programs and positive thinking really improved my life.
I forgot the exact title of the show, but it was something like "The Ten Biggest Myths about Animals." Anyway, a study of the mind's thoughts was performed. A machine generated random numbers and people were instructed to try and influence the outcome of the numbers using ONLY their thoughts. Another machine appeared to be a small remote control car toy. This gizmo would turn right, left, go straight, etc. the gizmo had a built-in computer chip that generated random commands to go in whatever direction. People were instructed to try and control the direction of the gizmo using ONLY their thoughts.
Now here's where it gets interesting... humans were actually able to influence the outcome of the random numbers and random directions using ONLY their thoughts! Although it was a subtle influence, there was a change nonetheless. The people who were behind the study had no explanation how this could have been done. Remember that one Indian guy with the hat and glasses in David D's "Body Language" DVD's? He explained how thoughts are actual "energy." I even used one of his techniques to "conquer a negative thought" and it worked extremely well for me.
Although positive thinking & self-help has helped me, in the back of my mind I'd have this feeling telling me that I'm just fooling myself. When that Indian guy explained how thoughts were actual "energy," I thought it was really far-fetched. But after watching last night's program on how thoughts alone can influence a computer's randomly generated numbers, this **** is for real! If our thoughts can influence the outcome of a computer, imagine how powerful our thoughts can be when influencing ourselves!
