ON's 100% Whey Protein + Stomach ache

Okay, last night I decided to buy some protein. Figured it should help my diet out because I really get none of the nutrition the way I eat (I am trying to actually make a good diet right now, I'm just wondering about this) so anyway, I make 1 shake 8 oz Gatorade + 1 scoop of powder. Could it just be a coincidence I don't feel good the next day? Running around the mall I'm guessing I could have picked up a bug, but I would be hurting all over and stuff and I'm not feeling the least bit bad other than feeling like I'm going to puke every couple minutes.

If anybody else has had this problem please let me know and what you ate / did to fix it because it really doesn't feel that good. Thanks for any help or advice.

WHAT THE HELL???

anyway, ON is like fvcking good, never had a problem with it. Tastes so yummy.

how about this for a diet: get rid of all the chemical crap like gatorade and sodas. Take some multivitamins. And i really see no point in whey unless you are working out.

1. The only reason I did the Gatorade thing was because some ******* at GNC told me to.
2. ON is definitely good, no argument there. (if it's NOT what made me feel so damn horrible)
3. I haven't drank Gatorade 10 times in my life.
and 4 & 5 -- I take a multivitamin (One-A-Day Active) and I work out 5 days a week.

Nothing in your post pertained to the question I asked.

take it with water or milk. nuff said.

No, don't take it with milk :eek: Water is fine.

How old is the protein? There should be a date on the bottom somewhere. Just like any food, it can go bad.

How much water are you drinking per day?

I used to get the ****s from low quality protein. after buying the quality stuff from gnc I was fine. I would feel a little bit sick after drinking it, but no ****s... and no embarrassing farts.

Thanks for all the great advice. I'm currently laying in the living room (as I have been all day) and I'm actually hurting all over and keep having hot and cold spells so I think it was coincidence. And I do actually have the sh*** I just didn't mention it, don't know why. I'm guessing flu + protein w/ Gatorade just sucks royal a**. :( Well, as I said thanks for all the advice. Oh, and someone asked how much water I'm drinking... I am currently drinking 4-6 glasses. Today I've had about 12 big glasses just because I can't seem to quench my thirst. Tried gatorade straight as well, but ego told me not to be drinking the crap so I switched to water. I know there is no cure for the influenza just have to let it run it's course. I actually had this exact same virus (so it seems although there is less than like a 5% chance of getting the same bug twice) not too long ago so I guess I'll just have to lay around and wait for it to go away.

After overloading my system with a shake consiting of blueberries, bananas, soy protien, carrots, 4 mini-tomatoes, soy milk, water and a pear, I suddenly got a craving for non-sweet acidic things and then bread w/ margarine. It might help you to do the same thing.

For fu<k's sake, do not drink it with gatorade. You should go back to GNC and punch the <unt's lights out. And yes it is fine to drink it with milk, but only if you want it to be absorbed gradually.

snareknight08, you're describing food poisoning, not the flu. It's very common and could've come from many things you ate in the past week.

I love my ONs... The strawberry tastes like ass with water, but the chocolate with water is great. I pound it down in like 10 seconds though, except when it doesnt mix right and you get those lumpy chunky parts that make you shiver when you are trying to swallow it.

Sounds like female cravings... from all that estrogen in the soy. ;)

(it doesnt contain estrogen, it just promotes its production, but mostly in female body and only after a few bucketfuls )

Ugh...yall are freaks. ON whey with milk is awesome...tastes like chocolate milk. I tried it once with water cause I ran out of milk, it was freaky! It felt too thin, and Id get the aftertaste of chocolate and water...not really sure to describe it, but I like it MUCH better with milk.

This is what leads me to believe it's food poisoning. You don't have to be a doctor to tell it's probably not the flu. Food poisoning is VERY common.
