ive tried it a fair bit. online dating is harder than real life from my experience. you'd get more chance hooking up with a hot girl in real life than on a dating website. girls can't see your body language online so it's hard. they just see your picture and description about yourself. it's not easy :/

hmm, that site looks alright, might try it aswell. but i still stand by what i said above. btw your profile is fine.

As a minority on an online dating site the odds are stacked against you.

Try lightening your picture up and listing your ethnicity as "Caucasian" (Indians are anthropologically Caucasian so it's technically true).

If they call you out on it, give them this reason. If the chick is already into you by this point, she won't care. The hardest part for you is getting past that initial screening.

Try it and let us know how it works out.

On those sites 70-80 percent of the girls just want ego-boost, or they want Mr. super-wealthy super-social gentleman.... so dont take every rejection personally.
You have to have a picture whitch was taken by someone else, you are smiling, having fun on it, ...if there are other people on the picture too(kind of social event ...club, beach, motorbike trip, etc), that is also good. ...a picture where you are doing some action, having some fun.

So I check out some local profiles and run across this gem from a 22-year old who is hardly a 6:

"As a single mother i would like to give my son a wonderful future together with a man at would love me and my son... I like to go out dancing running to the movies be with my family and friends..."
Hey, who says women don't tell the truth? ;)

Translation: "As a single mother [who already had offspring with an alpha male] i would like give my son a wonderful [and financially-sound] future together with a [beta] man [th]at would love [and provide for] me and my son...

ya i tried a whole bunch of free dating sites during my depression phase. I got a few spam ones, contacted about 10 girls total. none of which responded.

1 girl messaged me but since i'm asian she definitely looked like one of those anime freak loving weird girls. I would have been slightly interested if she wasn't like a 4/10.

I'm a decent looking guy and i'd give myself a 7-8/10.

I've also experimented craigslist casual encounters. basically free hookups. that ended in 1000000+ spam bots and 1 real person that though i was cute. She was worse than the anime girl. 3/10.

i can get 5/10's in real life easily so why would i settle for less than that online.

I have done pretty well with these in the past, the basic things I noted were:
- girls will be inundated with contacts when they join, your message will likely be lost in the flood, so msg them a bit after that
- but not too late; I've lost count of the number of times that by the time I actually meet her, she's not using the site anymore, not even for a month sometimes
- make like you are seeing her mostly as just a friend at first
- dont be pushy/rushy about getting her off-site contact
- dont be pushy/rushy about meeting up
- dont be pushy/rushy about meeting again after the first time
...get the picture? well-planted seeds will grow ;-)
