one quick question

ok guys im into kung fu and all..

since being skinny is a good thing for this form of martial art, IM SKINNY..

however, i would like to develop some muscles just to look better.. i was thinking about doin' home exercises, and my question is:

Do i have to push real hard til i feel burning and go to bed a little hurt? (no in a bad way, but in that way when u workout a lot)?

i guess i have to, bc basecally im destroying muscles to make them bigger, so feel some pain after is good right?

just to know, cuz since i dont have weights, i need to inscrease reps everytime i feel it's gettin easy or not hurting anymore

the pain you feel may be muslce faituge but it certainly is not breaking the muslces down. The only thing that causes muslces to actuly break down is large quantitys of excersize or starving yourself, because the protein is broken down for energy.

now firstly do not excersize just before bed, at the latest do it 1 hour before going to bed but prefribly 2 or more hours.

You need to try and lift heavy weights to gian msucles and do quite a few repations but not loads and loads.

Its ok if it hurts a bit afterwards (remember to warm down afterwards) but you should not attempt a sesion the next day if your muscles still hurt, this is why you should only do a session every other day as weight training is hard on your muscles and you cna easily over train, and even thou people think the more excersize the better, over training is terible and can cause you to have to almost completly stop training for a month.

Home excersizes?

You need push-ups, crunches, and if you can get your hands on them, weights. NOT heavy ones, light (you need to build up)

i see

well i guess i can buy some weights. This is different from the gym, since i can't inscrease weight everytime i feel like, so i always increase reps... i can't be too big, but i want to tone my body and look more defined...

impliment the following into your workout routine to gain muscle as fast as possible:

>squats

>deadlifts

>dips

>overhand pull ups

>bench press (with power rack if poss.)

>over head press (military press)

there are more but i cant recall them at the mo! :D
