I think I am right.

earlier today, quite bored, one of the days, just didn't have anything to do. So I did what i always do in that situation, went to the horse track lol, just to BS around, there was no live racing, but simuclast racing.

called up an associate of mine who i knew would be down to go with me, we meet up there.

So, about..30 minutes into us playing portland meadows, there was this rather cute woman there by herself. She was doing her thing, reading the form, just..there i supposed. There was this guy, who keep looking at her and was going out of his way to try to talk to her.

Now.. mind you.. it's ovbious, she isn't into the guy. But that's another story. just trying to paint the picture. she was being nice, but it just wasn't there. she wasn't being physically harassed.

she goes to make a wager i suppose, i wasn't watching, she goes on the other side of the room when she comes back, and the guy, follows her and starts trying to talk to her again

my friend, had had enough, and deiced to take action. he went up to her and said something, it was kinda far away, i guess like he was with her or something to get the dude to leave her alone.

Now... and i the only one that thinks he was in the wrong?

he called the guy creepy./ i was like dude, who the **** are you to judge rather a guy is being a creep or not. short of him pushing or literary, harassing her/groping her, you aren't the white knight police. it's up to her,t o determine rather she wants the interest or not, and if she does not, i'm quite sure she can handle the situation herself.

was he in the right for going to do what he did, or was he white knigtin it up?

The way you described it sure seems like white knighting. As long as the guy wasn´t threatening your friend had no business going there.

A universe...where heartbreak and sadness have bee
Can't tell if the dude qualifies as being "creepy" without hearing what he was saying/how he was saying it.

Your buddy WAS "white-knighting". Again, though, whether it was overboard or not depends on the situational specifics. :p

Create self-fulfilling prophecies. Always assume the positive. Assume she likes you. Assume she wants to talk to you. Assume she wants to go out with you. When you think positive, positive things happen.

What your friend did was wrong simply because he failed to ask himself one simple question: Why is a "cute woman" alone at a horsetrack acting like she's placing bets?

My guess is the guy that was talking to her probably wasn't up to her "fishing standards".
