As I understand it, you should wait a different amoun of time inbetween workouts for different muscle groups, like abs can be worked more than other muscles.

How long should one generally wait inbetween workouts for each major muscle group? I'm particularly interested in the shoulders (deltoids)....I'm following a workout routine for the shoulders that I've been told is really good, but it says to only do it once a week. Is it not safe to work the deltoids more frequently? And would it result in faster growth there?

In general the common pratice is abs, forearms, and cafes twice a week. Evertying else one a week. No I wound't work my deltas but one a week. Take a week off ever once in awhile (every 6-8 weeks).

Once a week is what I do. But if you want to hit a certain muscle group twice a week to switch things up, or bring up a lagging body part (I do this when I start to get bored), it's generally 48 hours for smaller muscle groups (bi's, tri's, etc.) and 72 hours for the bigger muscle groups (legs, back, etc.).

Peace and Quiet

If you currently have too many women chasing you, calling you, harassing you, knocking on your door at 2 o'clock in the morning... then I have the simple solution for you.

Just read my free ebook 22 Rules for Massive Success With Women and do the opposite of what I recommend.

This will quickly drive all women away from you.

And you will be able to relax and to live your life in peace and quiet.

Thanks.

by the way, you say the legs are considered "big muscles". What about the calves? Aren't those actually relatively small muscles?

To get arm symetry and to improve grip for heavy barbell exercises. It's sad seing people with huge biceps/triceps and sticks for forearms.
