I have seen a lot of postings regarding alpha male movie characters/actors, but am more interested in recommendations about the most "alpha" novel characters any of you have come across. Most searches you do will have to do with some cheesy romance novel that old women write about billionaires and the such. I am more curious about maybe some books written from the viewpoint of a true alpha, someone who wreaks of confidence and the right mindset. Any thoughts?

Stange is it may be, I've been reading Tom Clancy novels like crazy lately. Maybe not alpha (in the sesne of women), but they are badarse, and are alpha in the sense of leadership and taking one's destiny into one's own hands.

Indeed any story with a (20th century or newer) "Byronic Hero" in it.

Personally I've always admired Edmond Dantes in the Count of Monte Cristo - not so much in regard to women (the book barely contains any of that) but in his conduct and actions.

That's what I'm saying. So, alpha=bodybuilder dumbass neanderthal (that would probably have difficulty reading anyhow) by others standards? Brilliant!
