I recently switched jobs and there was this one chick in my previous office who would eyeball me a lot. I would occasionally just say hi, pass a wise crack or 2 - but never did i think of flirting with her/asking her out (considering the age old adage - dont collect your ***** and your paycheck from the same place).

Now that i have left that job i just said **** it and decided to ask her out. I used the pretext of buying a gift for one of my female friends and told her that she should come help me out. She was initially telling me that she would call and let me know. I instead told her that I would call a day earlier and confirm the time i would be free and see if it works for her (didnt want the ball in her court).

The day I told her it would be possible for me, she still kept saying she would let me know. Eventually what happened was I ended up being busy that day and couldnt make it. I texted her well in advance to let her know and also mentioned that i would be dropping by the next day to finish off some work there, so we could make the plans then.

I walk into the office and act nonchalant, go about my work. She notices me and i just smile back, told her i would talk to her later. After getting through with my ****, I asked her to step outside the office for a bit. Once outside, i start talking to her casually about some other stuff. She then brings up the topic about the gift shopping. She tells me that I shouldnt be troubling myself and that she would suggest/pick up something for me instead. This was kind of a curve ball and I felt she was just trying to avoid going out with me.

I then threw another curve ball of my own - I divert the topic to something else and then go," Hey I gotta be leaving now, but before i do that there's something you need to know - I think you're cute and you seem like a nice person. I would like to take you out to coffee sometime and get to know you. And hey, who knows maybe we might end up not liking each other at all! Coz i am a really bad person!" She goes like," Wow! Yeah i dont mind going out with you for coffee. And no, no i dont think you are a bad person." She gives me good eye contact (more like puppy dog eyes) when shes saying this to me. I tell her that I would be free on Thursday evening. She told me she would call and confirm either on Tuesday/Wednesday her work schedule for Thursday so she could hang out with me (she works in sales and works late hours at times).

Well, now its frigging Friday and there's been no call yet! What am i supposed to assume from this - 1) Could it be that coz i havent spend much time with her previously building that rapport that she may feel a tad bit uncomfortable (didnt think it would matter much considering the occasional eye ****ing)? 2) Or maybe its coz i am (was) one of her superiors at work, that she feels pressured in some way to say 'yes' (now that i have left would that really matter)?

Should i call this woman again, act nonchalant and ask her out, or should i just move on? It looks like shes into me, but why all this crap? Help me out brothers!

(holy ****, didnt think this would turn out this long!)

Generally this is pretty true...but I've had successful fuvk buddies from chicks I work very closely with. Not saying its the situation you look to get into, but if you set the boundaries and make things clear... its smooth sailing.

Now that i have left that job i just said **** it and decided to ask her out. I used the pretext of buying a gift for one of my female friends and told her that she should come help me out. You can always flirt with girls at work....make them want you but control yourself. You took the shotgun approach of not building that tension, then suddenly showing your interested.

I then threw another curve ball of my own - I divert the topic to something else and then go," Hey I gotta be leaving now, but before i do that there's something you need to know - I think you're cute and you seem like a nice person.

Showing your cards before you know the outcome....NEVER GOOD!! This wasn't a curveball, it was more like "I want you!" Show....don't tell!

I would like to take you out to coffee sometime and get to know you. And hey, who knows maybe we might end up not liking each other at all! Coz i am a really bad person!"

Do you think when she's trying to sell the company's product to potential client her hard close goes "hey I think this is the perfect fit for you, but I know that it totally might not work and be a HUGE MISTAKE??" Exactly...you shot yourself in the foot with that....don't EVER say something like that again! You didn't have the rapport to pull something like that off....in you effort to be clever, you came off as weird and lacking confidence.

She goes like," Wow! Yeah i dont mind going out with you for coffee. And no, no i dont think you are a bad person." She gives me good eye contact (more like puppy dog eyes) when shes saying this to me. I tell her that I would be free on Thursday evening.

When you ask a girl out, find out what her schedule is and then let her know what your schedule is....once you've built that comfort level up and rapport, you can expect her to be more available.

She told me she would call and confirm either on Tuesday/Wednesday her work schedule for Thursday so she could hang out with me (she works in sales and works late hours at times).

She could work 100 hour weeks and it wouldn't matter; if her interest is HIGH she'll make time for you.

Well, now its frigging Friday and there's been no call yet! What am i supposed to assume from this -

Nothing to assume....she's not interested.

1) Could it be that coz i havent spend much time with her previously building that rapport that she may feel a tad bit uncomfortable (didnt think it would matter much considering the occasional eye ****ing)?

Nope this isn't it.

2) Or maybe its coz i am (was) one of her superiors at work, that she feels pressured in some way to say 'yes' (now that i have left would that really matter)?

You don't work there anymore....

Should i call this woman again, act nonchalant and ask her out, or should i just move on?

If you wanna be her byatch...call her again.

It looks like shes into me, but why all this crap? Help me out brothers!

She's not into you....I didn't see one thing you wrote that indicated that she was on your nutzz. My guess is she was physically attracted to you, but your failure to amplify that physical attraction and then subsequent weird conversation the other day was your doom.... Move on unless you like torturing yourself.

truthfully at first, if she showed you signs of interest, you should have stepped in and did playful kino to close the gap so she can be comfortable with you asap.

if she's not returning your calls, i would try 3 times and if she doesnt call back, she's not interested. make the calls about a day or two from each other. making it too soon will make you look needy and will give her a really good reason not to like you. i learned that with some girls you have to try. each girl is different. some will call you when they're interested, and others will hardly call you even when they are interested.
