Just got home from a date with plate 3. This chick messaged me first on POF and from her profile she seemed very cool with tastes similar to mine. In her pictures she looked tall and skinny. maybe not the hottest chick in the world, but worth a bang. Her face pic was a little unclear (now a red flag that i didn't see, I'm new to POF dating), but I thought well what the hell, she seems cool and not a fatty, so I'll bite.

Well I met up with her tonight, one-on-one and she was short and fat, with a face like MOM!. And I don't mean MILF, I mean MOM.

Now, if I was more a jerk, I would have taken one look and walked away. Unfortuately, I was raised as a gentleman, so I suffered through it. Worse part was so many young hotties all around me, and I would have felt like a complete ******* hitting on them on this date.

Well as it turns out, me and my 'date' strike up a random conversation with a guy and girl. The guy and girl turn out to be way more cool than my date, AND, before long a smoking 9 and hot 8 show up to meet the two people we started talking to. The HB9 was with a boyfriend, but that would not have stopped me had I not being trying not to be rude to my POF date. Worst, HB8 is all talking to me trying to get to know me, and I've chatting with her, but again, I'd feel like a total a$$hole getting her number in from of my ugly ass POF date.

Finally after 3 hours of misery, I tell her i am not trying to get wasted and that I'm headed home. She's kinoing ME and asking me where I live, dropping all the signs that she wants to bang. I'm like HELL NO in my mind. I excuse myself, walk her to her car, and give her the we aren't compatible but we can hang out as friends speech. I'm not ever texting her again and i hope she doesnt text me. After she leaves, i SHOULD have gone back to HB8 and HB9 but I already made a show of saying goodnight to them & i'm so disgusted that I'm just like F*** it!

Keep in mind I've banged a nice 23 year old and a good 27 year old this week, but I'm pissed!

Guys, never go on POF dates if you have any questions about their pictures. And even then, pictures lie!!!

I agree with your main point when I say CLEAR PICTURES OR NO DATE! NO ANGLE SHOTS AND YOU BETTER HAVE A FULL LENGTH BODY PHOTO. If I was a girl, I would put that in my profile and still get dates. Us guys dont get leeway with that sorta stuff.

That sounds sort of like just about every date I've end up getting off POF. Whether they were deceptive about their pic or not, I never met up with anyone desirable from POF. The very few girls that appear interesting on POF are all unattainable because of the insane competition online.

So I'll be at the bar with my POF date surround by girls better looking and more interesting than she is. It hurts your status in the venue. And I'm like you, it's hard for me to ignore my date and hit on other girls. I'd rather just go to the bar alone and take my chances cold approaching than be there with a lame girl from pof.

I merely pointed out the hypocrisy and silliness at the fact that he'd respect some lying POF ugly chick more than his fellow man. If you wanna label something as white knighting, Id say treating some lying female better than you would a fellow male as an example of such. But if you consider gaming taken chicks as normal behavior, Id say its also very normal if certain guys gave you the death stare or a punch out for doing so.

I think you have equally valid points. Jaylan is right to point out that it's definitively weird to feel like you are dong the honorable thing by staying on the date then turn around and game another guy's girl, however...

I lean more toward you (.)(.); women are never with you, they are just with you for a time. Now i would never try to steal a happy girl away from her man or break up a loving relationship, but you can try to get a sense of how she really feels about the relationship, and if you pick up that she's willing to bounce out or cheat, if you don't do it, somebody else will. That's not your problem.

Yes, my date sucked. But I stayed, and I made friends with the bartender who got off work, and his 5 friends, 3 of whom hotties. I got to know another guy who is a regular. I know the restaurant the girls work now and can easily pop in one day and say oh hi you, we meet at blah blah, or just even just pop in to the bar and say "Hey Chuck, how is that girl Lana doing?" That's what the first meeting is all about when you're doing online dating. I NEVER consider the first meeting a real date. I use it for screening and raising IL if I like her. I've gone out with a few UGs from POF, and I just don't see them again. It's no big deal; you go out, have some fun with a stranger, and then never see them again. There's no deep commitment after a first meeting, so it's easy to just flush them out of your life afterwards.

I was in a similar situation last Friday. Drinks with a chick with nice big tits....she wanted to take things "slow" despite me inviting myself to her house.

So I go to the washroom of the bar, immediately text another plate who is around the corner at a local club...and invite myself to meet her.

POF goes in cycles but any guy whose main source is POF is really limiting his options. It baffles me how many guys refuse to approach women in real life and just do online dating. In my opinon those guys are really shooting themselves in the foot. Sure you save a lot of money talking to sloots at home but in real life you will always find higher caliber of chicks even at bars, let me explain. There are bars/restaurant/lounges that cater to a certain demographic where you can meet a plethora of attractive women. Hell I've come to the conclusion that the bar scene is far better then POF. Sure you have to work harder but at the bar scene at least you know what the girl looks like when you take her home.

Online dating IMO is a waste of time if you your not good looking or the women in your area aren't giving you play

Just something to think about... subscription paid sites like match eliminate attention hoes. They wouldn't pay 30 dollars a month JUST to get attention. They can do that FOR FREE on POF.

If they are paying, they are at least somewhat serious about meeting someone. And they look better on average, and far fewer single moms. As far as online dating goes, I've been very pleased with match.

Still prefer real life, but online dating is just another avenue to provide an additional source of women.

I met my wife on Couchsurfing.... and three of my previous ex-girlfriends. They were all pretty hot. I've got 50+ dates off of it too...started using it when I was in my 20s. There is no rule that you have to date or even stay with the one you are with. Its just a social networking site that you can CHOOSE to hook up with women on. Usually though, most of the girls on the site want to have an 'adventure' with a foreign guy.
