no longer afc-ish?

a girl that ive known a while (wont get into our situation cause its long and not important to this) called me tonight. i went to a party at her place last night. i know she thinks that she has always been able to push me around and that im a major AFC (which i have acted in the past to her...i usually am not that way). so tonight on the phone she asked why i looked like i didn't want to be at her place last night. i flat out told her "because i dont like all your guy friends that were there. nice guys, there just not really any fun". she responded that i guess you dont want to come with all of this on a boat trip this weekend. I just said "yea pretty much". i also told her how i was making fun of her last night about how over friendly she is when she drinks. i thought i was just having a normal conversation with her and then she goes "why are you being such a punk". i just responded " im not. what did i say that makes me a punk". she said she didn't know. right before that she asked me if im tired of her.

im pretty sure this kind of thing is good for the way she thinks of me. i guess i just need to hear it again from you guys cause i dont really like her thinking im a jerk. this is a good thing isn't it? is it for the best? guess i just need some support and make sure that i haven't screwed up.

Im not sure what the effect of your words will be towards the way she treats you next time ..but I will tell you what she is thinking

You were an AFC to her..she knew you liked her..and that she could do and say whatever she wants ..she most likely started treating you disrespectfully..

Then you threw her a curve ball..she doesnt know if you like her anymore or what the deal is..she is getting angry that you MAY HAVE lost interest...thus bringing her IL in you UP artificially..

Now you have her in a state of confusion..the guy she thought she had ..is no longer interested..you have shaken her sense of security..and blown her ego..

Her next step is to try and put you back into AFC mode..its like she lost one of her "sheep"..she will leave the entire flock..to make sure she puts you back into the herd

and once she catches you...its back to square one

Starman sounds correct here, however that does nothing to help you. She sounds like a classic att-whóre. I suggest you leave her behind in the dust cloud of the recent exchange you had. Find someone new(and better). Sometimes we all benefit from a change.

Pretty well on. Keep "clowning" her until she begs for it. If she doesn't, you're f'ing ten other women on the side, so don't worry about it.
