I got a DUI and lost my license. It will be a few years, so I had to get rid of my ride too. My car was my LIFE, lots of time, energy, and money dumped into it. Its was very nice.

I live in Phoenix and work less than a mile away, and my roomate drives me around mostly, so I'm getting by. But how should I handle this with the ladies. I've always asked girls out saying "I'll pick you up," and have always been the one driving. I'm not sure if women will be ok with this or not. Should I just act like it's no big deal and tell em I don't drive? I suppose there's not really any other way around it. Should I just say "I dont' have a car" And let my criminal histoy come up later?

i don't have my license. i use public transport everyday and still get women flirting around with me. believe it or not, you meet more women using public transport :)

having no car isn't such a big deal. just because you don't have one doesn't mean you can't get girls. if a girl doesn't dig you cause you don't have a car, BAD LUCK FOR HER! i usually prefer it this way. that way i know that a girl doesn't want me for the car. many girls just hang out with guys cause they have cars. i know so many blind guys who take girls out everywhere... meanwhile they think they're hot sh|t while the girls are just laughing at him and using him for a ride.

like i said. if a girl doesn't dig you cause you don't have a car. too bad. they can go and get fuked i say.

True Dat Tails! Having a car for only 3 years myself seems like eternity! To lose it for only a day makes me feel sick! But, you'll get over it, you'll have to, a ex-friend of mine thought he was hot sh*t, bad boy style when he lost his and drove without, then he got caught! WAKE UP CALL! It won't be easy for the first two weeks or so, but you'll re-arrange you schedule for them Hot Mamma's and you'll be the Sh*t again!

Don't stress it, just chill!

Cheers!

Well, regardless of what everyone says, it won't change what the reality of the situation is. You don't drive, and that's life. Wishing you did drive is only going to make you miss (it) even more - so move on. If a girl doesn't talk to you because you don't have a car, then you aren't going to date her... simple as that. If you do hook up, then it doesn't matter if you have a car or not, obviously.

Can you get a motorcycle license if you get a DUI?

Thanks for the support, I understand that my game hasn't changed. I'm still money. But When it comes to getting a girl to go out somewhere, what do you do? Last time I was in this situation, 10 years ago, I would get a ride from my mother. So should I have her meat me somewhere? Take a cab? Or tell her straight up and have her drive?

Dude, that totally messes with my manhood. :>

Don't drink and drive kids.

Good excuse to go for a walk

One of the more romantic dates (IMO) is to go on a romantic walk, perhaps on a nice trail by a river or ocean. You have a perfect reason to do this.

Just come clean with the DUI, say you don't want to do that again and you've changed your ways. You're getting healthy by walking, but want a nice woman to join you on these walks.

And if a woman doesn't want to go on a nice, moonlit, romantic walk (many women are clueless to this), she's not the one for you!

You're saying that not having a car messes up your game. You imply that otherwise it's all good.

Therefore, you should have a few girls in line for you right now. Or at least a girl you're fukking.

Do you have one?

If not, then this post is just a lame excuse.

I actually just moved into Phoenix. I come from a much more rural area where public transit is nearly non-existant. No car wold have been my death. I moved into the city to cope with the lack of a license. I left a few girls behind in my old life, so I'm kind of starting fresh here.

I guess this does help to better explain my problem. Where I come from everyone drives. If you don't drive, you probably have something seriously wrong with you, or you're a criminal. So most of you who are from a city, know people who don't drive so maybe it's no big deal. I'm just trying to come to terms with that. I've never known ANYONE my age to not drive.

I'm not that familiar with the Phoenix area, but I do know many cities out west do not have the greatest of public transportation.

However you say your roommates give you rides and there is public transporation. So maybe you aren't that bad off.. Don't drink and drive next time.

Some places i've lived in, like NYC, many people didnt have a car, nor needed one.

But in a place like where I grew up, if you didnt have a car, you didnt have a life. I mean friends lived probably 40-45 minute drives away. And school was about the same distance away.

People who say you don't need a car, either live in the city or really aren' t old enough to drive yet.

If your still a high schooler or in college, not having a car you can sort of get away with.

But the older you get, being without a car and not living in a place like NYC or Chicago or Philadelphia or wherever, then your options become very limited because in many places realistic Public Transporation does not exist.

So being without a car was ridiculous, if not impossible in certain places.

But look at it this way, with gas prices in the $2 per gallon range, you'll be saving yourself some serious gas money now.

Phoenix has a bus system(not bad, but all busses suck), runs 20 hours out of the day, and Taxi's of course. No subway or El-train, yet, contruction is supposed to begin by the end of the year. (BEGIN).

I'm also saving my $600/month on payment and insurance.
