Why are you excluding the other teams? Especially since one of them is the Number 1 seed in their division.

this is a weak poll as it does not include all the teams.

1.) Carolina will win. This team is in the zone at the moment when it comes to both defense and offense. Their defense was amazing at taking advantage of Eli Manning's playoff inexperiance, and the same thing will happen with Rex Grossman. Bear's defense was enough to carry this team to the playoffs, but this is a different game now. One dimensional teams do not make it to the Superbowl. If you have a stellar defense but cannot put the points on the board, you're not gonna get far. And inexperiance is a b!tch. If you look at the wildcard games, teams with playoff experiance rolled over the ones who didn't have it.

2.) Colts will win, this is their year. They have too many weapons on offense, least injuries, and Manning is a brilliant QB that can pick defenses apart. Any 2man coverage will simply destroy the Steelers, as Manning always finds an open path. Add in the fact that Colt defense is stellar at creating turnovers this year and the fact that Colts are playing at home in their dome, this will be a good game but don't count on Steelers to win it. Like Big Ben said, if Steelers are to have a hope of winning this, Colts will have to make some really big mistakes.

3.) While I would like for Broncos to win this, I do see Pats winning this game. Again, experiance is key.

4.) Seahawks. Unstoppable until proven otherwise RB, great pass rushing D.

Here are my picks...

1) Chicago - I believe their defense is good enough to get them through Carolina. When they played the Panthers earlier in the year, they almost shut them out.

2) Colts - F the steelers... I don't think the steelers can match up well with the colts because their secondary isnt the greatest with the exception of Polamalu. Their cb's could easily get burnt by the colt's WRs if Peyton's line can get him some time.

3) Pats - Tom Brady is 10-0 in the playoffs... Nuff said

4) Seahawks - Although Washington did beat them earlier 20-17 in overtime, I still believe Seattle will pull out with a victory. Mainly because they will be playing at home with more at stake. Seattle is a very dangerous team at this point.

Judging from past years, this is about the time for Pittsburgh, Denver, and Seattle to hang it up for the year. But Seattle can probably win one more, considering they play the no-offense Skins. The Pats always seem to beat the Broncos in January. I like the Bears over Carolina, *but only if* Grossman can go without throwing a pick or fumbling, which is a tall order for a QB with 9 games of experience.

If I were betting, the only bet I would make this weekend is for the Colts to blow out the Steelers.

Same picks as Paintballguy for me. Although I fully expect one or two of them to be wrong. Just have no idea which.

Yeah but that was regular season (you know, just like Broncos beat the Pats). Playoffs is a different ballgame. If you saw the Panthers during the wildcard game, they looked like a completly different team then they did during regular season. Their defense in my opinion will be just as good as Chicago's at the moment, regardless of season stats. And when you look at the fact they will be facing a novice quarterback in Rex Grossman, you will see a lot of turnovers. Meanwhile, Carolina's offense can put points on the board, unlike Chicago.

2) Colts - F the steelers... I don't think the steelers can match up well with the colts because their secondary isnt the greatest with the exception of Polamalu. Their cb's could easily get burnt by the colt's WRs if Peyton's line can get him some time.
Agreed.

Agreed. But no one stays undefeated forever.

4) Seahawks - Although Washington did beat them earlier 20-17 in overtime, I still believe Seattle will pull out with a victory. Mainly because they will be playing at home with more at stake. Seattle is a very dangerous team at this point.
It all depends on whether or not Redskins D can contain the MVP. If they can't, game over. If they can, look for an upset.

There's a good chance of this happening, but this year they are playing in indy on turf with no snow. The pats D is really what's going to decide this game. If they show up for this game they have a legitamate shot, but if manning goes to work on them like just about every other team this year, then it could be over by the second quarter....this is also assuming both teams make it through the next round which is in no way set in stone in itself.

No credit for Chicago, huh?

8 sacks, 2 interceptions, 3 forced fumbles, multiple holding penalties, false starts/ delay of games caused by crowd noise in the last game.

3 passes dropped by Moose (1 sure TD) 2 by Clark. The exact same carolina offense was on the field and got dominated for 4 quarters. They lost to the team with the worst starting QB in the NFL.

A totally different Chicago offense will be on the field tomorrow. A new QB that can actually make reads, move in the pocket, anticipate a throw and make it accurately, a deep threat WR (Berrian), a healthy T Jones (at least as healthy as he's been in a long time... he had a rib injury that kept him out of the game in week 10), a 100% Fred Miller (broken jaw last game).

No worries about Bobble Wade fumbling a punt. No worries about anyone getting past our RT (Miller hasn't allowed a sack all year).

Defensive player of the year - Urlacher
2 all-pro linebackers - Urlacher, Briggs
5 probowlers - Mike Brown, Nate Vasher, Urlacher, Briggs, Tommie Harris.... 2 alternates, Alex Brown, O-gun
Healthy Mike Brown, Chris Harris, Ian Scott and Hunter Hillenmeyer.

Top 5 defense in nearly every statistical category, and #1 in the only one that counts - points allowed

Defense gave up the fewest amount of points at home in NFL history.

Oh yeah... gonna be a great game.

Wayne Messmer to sing the national anthem, 4 military planes doing a pre-game fly over.

Tailgating starts in less than 9 hours for me! (8:30 for a 3:30 game!)

The electricity in that stadium is going to be amazing!

I was at the game, both teams D's sucked a big one, but every time our offense got us close, the defense collapsed like a house of cards.

The defensive play calling was terrible. No corner in the NFL can go 1-on-1 with Steve Smith and not get burned.

And then our corners forgot how to run without tripping over their own feet.

We got no pressure on Delhomme (who we sacked 8 times last time) and our defensive line was non-existant.

They should've played the starters at least for a half in Minnesota. We came out soft and got our asses handed to us.

But it's not like this is anything new in Chicago.

Bears defenses dominated the season, but they didn't show up for the playoffs. One man coverage on Steve Smith? The man got 218 yards and 2 TDs. That was the most retarded coverage ever.

In playoffs, regular season cannot predict the outcome of a game. This is where NFL experiance comes into play, and wins games. Rex Grossman is an inexperianced QB, and was chucking the ball like crazy. I'm surprised he only got 1 INT.

As for Colts...if they had showed up in that game in 1st quarter, like they had shown up in the 4th quarter, they would have won it easy. Instead they played like ass for 3 quarters, then after a bullsh!t referee call they finally woke up. Sad day for me and other Colt fans, but there's always next year.

Tell her a little about yourself, but not too much. Maintain some mystery. Give her something to think about and wonder about when she's at home.

This season has been full of surprises, both good and bad. The Bucs defense was better than Chicago, but against the 'Skins, in the first quarter, the defense crumbled. UNfortunately, I didn't see the Colts game, but I heard that in the end, Manning made a pitiful decision to go for a pass instead of running the ball for a first down that could have lead to a field goal and run the game into OT. That surprised me cuz Manning seems to be a pretty meticulous play organizer.

Colts and Manning choke again. What the fuk was he doing on 3rd and 2? They had 2 damn timeouts and hes looking for the big pass. His head aint screwed right when it comes to the big games. It didnt help him that the o-line was getting creamed on too but thats what you get for sitting them out for a month.
