Ok first of all lets get the bs out of the way. I'm new the the site; a friend recommended it to me after an incident involving a girl 2 days ago, saying it has great advice and its fun reading real experiences from others. so i said, cool i'll check it out, see what i can find that pertains to my situation. read the bible (sorta...its pretty huge); did a bit of research on my situation; and actually i did learn quite a bit. but not quite enough. i hope a direct thread can do the job =)
so here's the situation. i've never been in a LTR, tho i've had my share of chances, with single female friends admitting crushes for me, ots of mutual flirting with female friends, etc. but a LTR in high school wasnt what i really wanted. but now, i sort of regret it and as a freshman in college, i feel like i've missed enough. its time to look for something actively.
Two days ago, at a party with my dad (it was a party for employees thrown at a big hotel), i met my dad's coworker's daughter. at first glance, she was pretty average looking, a bit above average i might add tho, but not stunning or anything. it was a formal party, everybody dressed up nicely, and it was mostly adults; we're were pretty much the only teenagers there. but seriously, i did not expect anythin out of the night, at all, as our parents were there and it wasnt exactly a 'club' setting, tho there was a dance floor and gambling (play money)
so with the parents factor, we were naturally shy and acting as good kids. then i decided to be spontaneous and asked her if she wanted to go gamble and chill...away from the older generation. she said sure and we went to play blackjack, and had a pretty nice convo, getting to kno each other; ie. what school shes at, what college shes applying to, where she lives, academic interests, etc etc. i might add that shes a year younger, senior at hs.
later on in the night, we decided to go dancing, interestingly, under the urges of our parents. up until that point in the night, i did NOT expect anything, so i was playing it cool and, i guess pretty indifferent and mildly interested. however, once we went dancing by ourselves, our parents once again out of sight, she got really close to me. she put my hands on her back during a fast song, pressed my body against hers, and put her forehead against mine. during a FAst song. ok i may be an "AFC" or whatever u guys call newbies, but i kno u dont usually get THAT close during a fast song, so something was going on. i looked at her, and she had a big sweet smile at her face. ok u can probably guess i was pretty horny by then. so i though...ummm........eh..........AHH SURE why not!!!! and i kissed her. (call me a loser, but that was the first time i've kissed a girl....when im sober at least)
i expected the slap, or at least her jerking away. but surprisingly she kissed back, even with some tongue. i was like, holy mother....i struck gold!! we made out for a couple of minutes on the floor, semi-dancing, and semi looking out for our parents haha. it was very interesting indeed. then i asked her if she had a boyfriend. she said something but i couldnt hear her cuz of the music. so we decided to go out somewhere quieter and talk about it.
it turns out that she DOES have a boyfriend, but she's currently not happy, possibly losing interest, etc. basically just a problematic relationship. (btw we exchanged contact infos)
ok so theres the problem. the current boyfriend. i definitely dig this girl, shes great to talk to, great sense of humor, pretty cute, decent body. and im pretty sure shes interested in me as well, else she wouldnt have made out with me (ok maybe im wrong?). but anyhow, its way too early to find out. i've read the other 'bf destroyer' and 'stealing the girl' threads, and it seems theres quite a few approaches.
theres the, be her friend and get to kno her approach, which means getting to kno her inside out, INCLUDING her current situation with her bf.
theres also the, i dont give a fvck about her bf, enhance my OWN image and pretend he doesnt exist.
i was just wondering which approach was better, cuz right now im leaning towards the first, but im scared of falling into the 'friends' pit and not become her love interest. also, what factor, if any, will our parents play? is there a unwritten rule about that says "do not date ur parent's friends or coworker's daughters"??
and also any general tips or advice would be greatly appreciated. thanx for reading this u guys.
