Right Now I have seen 5 ranks:
0. Banned
1. Don Juan
2. Senior Don Juan
3. Master Don Juan
4. Moderator
5. Administrator

I think we should add a new rank: Supreme Don Juan. This rank should not be one of those that you get when you hit x # of posts, instead, its for those that the mods notice as real good posters and then they suggest this to the mod who will then approve of the Idea. Ex., Mr. Fingers only has 50 posts so he's a "Don Juan," but his posts are the most productive, indepth, and well-researched posts so he should be SDJ. There are plenty of people out there who don't have good posts but just write a lot of crap or dumb one-liners in a thread like "Good idea - end post" and hereby inflate their rank while others have legit things to say and, therefore, take longer and write less posts. We should do rank by word or by recommendation. I think Fingers, MotU, Nick Hill, etc. should definitely fall in the SDJ category. This way, the pimpest of the pimps get the props they deserve. Also, how about a female counterpart? There are plenty of femme fatales on this site. How about evening out the male titles with female ones, just have a question at the beginning ask you what gender you are and now just have all be assumed male but they have the power to change it to female:

I like the idea. Although I don't know if it would work out since people might think the mods and Allen are "biased" to a certain poster (or posters) and overlook thier work, which sucks. Wouldn't mind seeing this though...

How about switching from the androgenous names and have separate names for males & females? There are chicks that post here and confuse me, I remember "never judge a woman by what she says but by what she does" so I need a warning as to what posts to ignore.

Rank Means Nothing.

I've seen some complete nimrods on this site with thousands of posts and some absolute DJ's with a handful of posts.

The best, most sure-fire way of knowing whether someone knows what they are talking about is to simply read their posts. I have a list on my cp of those folks who I think know what the hell they are talking about. Here it is:

Side note: You'll notice that many of the above guys have relatively few posts, especially considering how long they've been on this site. The reason? They actually have fulfilling, rewarding lives that include attracting, seducing, and fvcking women, sometimes lots of women, and don't have time to mentally masturbate on a bulletin board website.

This would not operate as you would think. The reality is that you will get all these people trying to 'obtain' SDJ. And then people would complain to the moderators about who and who is not a 'SDJ'.

Do you want a mass of young males turing the forum into an 'online game' of 'Get the SDJ?'

And all this would place more focus on forum mechanics than talking about women and don juaning.

One of the biggest problems with the bible was how it unleashed waves of posters writing just 'to get in the bible'.

Heirarchies are the last thing this forum needs. Why? Beacuse the forum ought to be seen only as a channel to information, not as a club, not as creating statues to good posters, else the forum becomes what people look at rather than the content.

The point is content, information. A 'SDJ' will be an obstacle to that. People will look at 'SDJ' posts without regarding the content.

A Don Juan must prove his worth everyday, his posts must re-prove themselves all the time. When you start giving out 'SDJ's to people, the content level will level off.

What will happen is the 'SDJ's will become authorative, rather than content-oriented. "You must listen to him because he is a 'SDJ'" Whatever.

I know some of you guys want to 'reward' or 'tag' valuable posters, but believe me, the more I put into the forum, the more I get out. All the guys above are here for the content, not for any stupid icon or 'level of don juan'. They contribute content becaues they obtain content.

What we could use is a Female special indicator. Perhaps the moderators can 'tag' our female members, when they appear, with a special icon or something (if we left it as a choice in the account set up, guys will be choosing female on purpose and it would get abused). Our female members tend to reveal themselves through their writing styles and time.

As for a new forum, how about one where we can post and discuss copyright information? We could post a passage from a dating book and go, "No, no, this guys is all wrong. Here is why..." People already do this, but a forum would keep it together and keep legalities a bit cleaner.

I don't think such a forum would come about, but it'd be interesting nonetheless. Because we would be discussing not just our content, but 'supposed experts' (such as a Doc Love column or an Allen article) content. It is basically commentary content on their content.

Rememeber, this forum thrives on its content, not in its 'forum arrangmenets'. There are no 'posters', there are no 'DJs', there is just 'content'.

That's why everyone is here.

I think you are on to something. A lot of people do write to be cannonized (get in the Bible) so lots of people will chase the SDJ. About women, I thought about the female thing so you are right, people would abuse the female tag, I like the idea of having women being tagged by MODs so that we can tell whether we should take a post with a grain of salt.
