There was a post recently about befriending women, and what the benefits of doing so might be. My first reaction was to "defend" the fact that I have some women friends. However, some of the replies got me thinking -- and after doing that thinking for a while and truly breaking things down, I realized that a good 75% of my women "friends" are in fact AFC remnants of failed attempts or missed opportunities. Out of them all, I can think of two that I actually consider genuine friends, almost to that level of "family." The rest, on closer inspection, are merely women I am "friendly" with because that is what I settled for.
Now, I can tell you straight up, there are a couple of my women friends that I am not interested in actively pursuing, and they do offer some benefits (such as inviting me over for dinner from time to time, introducing me to other friends of theirs, etc.), so it behooves me to remain friends with them. Quite a few of the others, though, I've discovered deep down, that I'd still love to shag them, or if not that, I'd be fine without their friendship.
That brings me to the question...
Have any of you ever attempted Mission Impossible, by attempting the minefield out of LJBF land? Were you successful? If so, how? If not, why?
Now keep in mind I'm not talking some girl you just met the other day who might have just stamped you with a giant "LJBF," rather, I'm speaking of girls that you've known quite a long time that would consider it extremely odd that you had a sudden "change of attitude" towards them.
They say nothing is impossible, so I'm kind of interested to hear your stories, and I'm going to be doing a little experiment of my own by trying to escape from LJBF land with some of these women, ever so slowly, and see what works and what doesn't work, or if I can accomplish it.
Should be fun.
