New Gadget for AFC's in the future?!

I saw this episode of "American Inventor", where people make up inventions and then bring it in front of a panel of judges to be judged on whether its worth to invest in it or not.

Anyway one guy came on and had a blue prints for a pocket gadget called "The Wingman". Its basically a hook up digitial device when you go to a bar or anywhere for that matter. You put your picture on it, your hobbies and interests and if a chick who is also single in the bar has this gadget and has similar interests , then her gadget will beep. She will then get to see your picture and profile on her gadget and if she likes it then she will beep you with back and then you can both meet.

Now obviously if you can manufacture it and come up with this product it will be a hit. It will give chicks who crave attention even more attention and it will give guys who have no balls, a buffer to approach in a bar. However once again you lose the personal touch you get from approaching and I think that once the AFC's get an approve from a chick, they still have to open their mouths which will result in exposing their real self and probably a rejection on the spot or following date. The guys who have game will no doubt improve their score. Or maybe it will just be another fad like Facebook and Myspace and nothing will change.

You've got to admit, it's a cool idea. I'd lie on it just for ****s and giggles. But would this mean she couldn't read it as well (because it doesn't match)? Because that would eliminate the point. Oh well I'll never own one.

Sounds like a stupid idea, like dating websites.

Plus it gives away too much information, most of which people don't care about.

Do I care what television shows she watches? No, because I don't watch TV.

Does she care that I find technology fascinating, or that I may want to set up a home PBX someday? Probably not, since most chicks don't seem to care about technology.


Also it reduces the potential number of things to talk about.

Which is part of the reason why this is stupid, and why dating websites are stupid as well.

If you are not approaching, you may have the world to offer but not many women will get to know you. If you have nothing interesting to say, chicks will get bored and walk away. A device might show a girl you are a decent man on paper, but unless she is enjoying her time spent with you(and she won't if you act all castrato) she is not going to want to spend more time with you.
