Hey guys...I read over Diesel's post about bulking up, and it seems great, and I'd really like to try it. But I have a bit of a dilemma...

I'm in college and I'm on a meal plan that only allows me to eat 2 meals a day down at the cafe, which is usually lunch and dinner. And I really don't have any food in my dorm. So it's very hard for me to eat enough protein and calories required for me to bulk up. I eat everything I can, but I can only eat so much at one time, ya know? It's kinda hard for me to get enough protein in just 2 sittings a day. My guess is that I should buy a protein shake; I was looking at ISOPURE-is that good? Or what about protein bars-(they sell Powerbar's "Protein Plus" bars at my little school grocery)? Which is better, or do they just accomplish the same thing basically?

Could anybody give me some ideas on what I could do, and when I should eat, maybe a different workout routine that would be better in my situation? etc...Thanks in advance guys and if you need any more info, just let me know.

P.S. I'm 5' 7'' and a 135 lbs. I'm not looking to get really huge, I'd just like to bulk up a bit and be more fit and muscular overall. This is a lifelong thing for me. I'm not looking for the quick fix and just getting big real quick and being done with it.
:) :D

do what i did. I'd hide a sandwich and a snack in my pants and walk out the dining room. Then I'd eat it later on. Also, why can't you just purchase some protein bars/mix and some fruit like apples, oranges, and bananas for the rest of the day.

Agree with Flava - VP2 superb - perfect post workout protein. Combine with carbs - glucose powder will do and costs next to nothing (remember - simple carbs post workout)

Isopure - good too.

Surely you can eat more than twice? No food in your dorm? Get some in. It doesnt have to be expensive. Get a big bucket of carb powder too - complex carbs i.e malto dextrin - cheap.

Bananas, milk, almonds (great for essential fat, protein and vitamin E), cottage cheese. Get a microwave in your dorm room so you can do baked potatoes. Tins of tuna etc etc etc. Not too difficult really. You come up with the rest.

Most important thing - get started, stop thinking too much.

adding meals

if you can add a protein shake(s) into your meal it is always good

A guy above was talkin bout fruit. It is ok but wont really help you bulk, though bananas go nice in protein shakes
