Need some help with openings

What do you guys say when you see a friend of yours that's a girl.
For example:
I see her sitting and I say "What up ______?"

What are some other ways you guys start your convos .

"Hey Baby"?

or "hey kid, whats going on"... and pat her on the shoulder... and rub it... simple enough?

Notice something about her appearance. A girl spends more than half a hour in front of a mirror to chose the right clothes, shoes and make up before going to school, even an full hour before for an evening out. For example if you compliment her on her shoes, she will start to talk about her shoes, hook in on her story and in no time you have a conversation going on. Same thing works on het clothes.
