Yes, I wanna be on the path to fortune. Right now I simply work under my bro and make 10 bucks an hour. Probably around half a grand a month. Just like everyone else, I hope to get myself a nice car and a nice place for myself (or with roommate), but obviously I can't do that with this situation.

I recently picked up a book called Understanding Stocks. Haven't started on it yet though. Should I learn about the stock market and investing there as much as I can? Is there potential for big earnings? What else can I do to help me make as much money as I can?

Random post, hopefully someone helps me out or offers some kind of advice =/

EDIT: ok changed title sounded a bit misleading lol?

First off, I'm not rich. I make around $75k per year, total (and this was actually the first year that I made that much). But then again, I am in college and work at most 7hrs per week. I make most of my income on eBay, just to the point where I don't have to pay tax on it. Hopefully, just hopefully, I'll done with my eBay guide tonight. I'll be posting it for free, so you should check that out.

There are a lot of great sites with information. It depends what you really want to get into. I personally think eBay is a great experience to start because you learn some basics about business - that is, if you eventually want to have your own business, or start one as an entrepreneur.

As for stocks, I tried trading when I was 18-19. Had an E*Trade account, and lost a little over$5k. Granted, I never really did much research and traded mostly small-caps, Nasdaq. It fluctuated, and there were days I made $500-$1000, but I didn't get out when I should have, and that was my overall loss. So, personally, I wouldn't recommend it if you want to "get rich quick" but frankly, I wouldn't recommend anything to get rich quick.

It won't happen overnight. It took me a full year to start making $5k-$6k per month online, and that's pocket change compared to what some people make. Sure, I drive nice cars and have cool things, but I've also realized that most of it was a waste of money. I could go on about this subject because I love it, but there are other people who love it more and probably have a lot more experience to go on about.

You should check out posts by backbreaker and STR8UP, those guys really have made it and know what they are talking about. Backbreaker recently made an extensive post about his lifestyle and how he makes money, etc. You can read up on it here: http://www.sosuccessful.net/forum/showthread.php?t=126

I would recommend, first and foremost, read the book Rich Dad Poor Dad. Find forums/websites with sections dedicated to finance, etc. If you PM me, I can show you some good websites, etc.

I also recommend books by Dan Kennedy and Joe Vitale, if you want to get into online information marketing. A personal favorite is "The Attractor Factor" by Joe Vitale.

Anyway, you can do it if you really set your mind to it.

Dude! That is very, very impressive. Your work I mean, heh.

No I'm not looking for "get rich quick" but neither do I wanna wait YEARS before I see some good income. I think I'll read this book through and try investing.

I heard Rich Dad Poor Dad is a bit overrated and only good for some motivation... ?

I'll PM you about that info and I'd love for you to "go on about this subject" haha.

Oh and thanks for reminding me, I gotta register on SoSuccessful :)
