I read the replies in my last post seems like i have to go to gym so during school i shall.

My next prob is what foods should i be eating i read the "Food listing" post.

What are the pros and cons of the groups of food that writer was talking about.

Proteins
Carbohydrates
Vegetables
calcium
etc

I usually eat fast food or chinese food. If its not outside food then its Frosted flakes. I don't want to look like a crack baby anymore so which foods will get me to put on weight and how much weight do you think i try should put on. On don't want to end up looking fat.

I bet the food in the foodlisting and what diesel says is waaay better for you. You don't have to understand everything about everything. Just go follow the bulking guide.

Protein: Make sure it has a high Biological value, biological vale is simply explained the usefulness of the protein. Egg protein and whey protein has the highest. You might want some extra glutamine to supplement with.

Carb: Make sure it has a low GI level and you eat mostly complex carbs, that often comes hand in hand. Complex carbs include starch and fiber and take time to break down, it keeps blood suger levels stable. Simple carbs is suger and stuff like that, they don't have to be broken down so the bloodsuger go berserk. After training it is good to eat simple carbs to restore the blood suger balance, but this is the exception :)

Fat: Saturated = Bad, unsaturated = good, polyunsaturated = best. Polyunsatured fat = omega acids, EFA. Also there is in polyunsaturated fat something called conjuncted acids, this is on molucular level and I will not explain what it is. However, it is said that conjuncted acids are good against cancer, and one in particular CLA is good to promote fat burning. They excist in dairy and meat. CLA can be taken in capsule while cutting. I have not tried it yet, but many say it works good.

Vitamins and minerals: Just make sure to eat a multivitamin and mineral pill. However, if you are really interested, you can read about them and see how effective they are. If you don't eat them, you die... :D

Vegetables: Too little calories in them for bulking IMO. I would have to eat 30 kg 70 pound sallad to get my daily calories. :D

----------

When it comes to putting on weight you will have to eat absurd much more food than you are used to, during bulking you will gain some fat, this is something you can't get around. However, remember that you are bulking for muscle, so even if you do gain some fat you still look ok as long as you don't stay in bulking 52 weeks a year. If I were you I'd set my goal to around 190 lbs.

Unless you're Superman, or genetically gifted, you're going to have to go to the gym to get big. Period.

As for eating fast food, CUT IT OUT. There's NO good "fast food" out there - unless you count maybe Subway, or a side salad at Wendy's! As for breaking down the different types of nutrients, Life has already done a good job of that for you - however, I'll simplify.

Here's what you want to do.

(Life... lol @ eating 70 lbs of salad...)

Stay away from processed foods. Processed foods are anything that you wouldn't find out there in nature. Twinkies. Oreos. Hamburgers. Soft-shelled taco supreme. Big Mac. French fries.

Eat UNPROCESSED foods. Fish. Steak. Veggies. Fruit. TUNA TUNA TUNA!

Eat as much protein as you can get your hands on. Don't worry about carbs, fat... just pack in that protein. Your goal now is to gain weight and mass, not worry about if you're getting the right ratio of whatever and whatever in your body. LOAD UP ON PROTEIN.

Do cardio. It works your heart. GO TO THE GYM. Take supplements. Drink protein shakes. GO TO THE GYM. Eat lots of tuna. GO TO THE GYM.

Okay, that's all from me.
