need help interpreting some messages

I made out with this girl last sunday at this cast party for a play i was in. The signs were all there and i followed DiCarlo Kino Escalation Ladder pretty righteously. This week goes by and one of my buddy who was trying to hit her up to asks her to this invitational dance(it's a school dance but you can only be invited to go by the school staff). Anyways I act like i don't give a **** because my buddy hardly seems like a threat ( kinda major afc, not doing too well on the looks department, and does'nt have the same social proof as i do.)

Well yesterday which was a friday,i called her up and ask her if she wanted to chill, But she was with my same buddy at uno's. So i say "maybe some other time."

Well, anyways last night i get this text message from her " i think we should talk about what happened sunday night but i don't want to over the phone cause you can never be postive you know what the other person means."

Now from what i can tell, i'm pretty sure i'm gonna have to next this chick. I'm not to certain though, so some input would really be appreciated.

Update: Well it turned from meeting in person to talking on the phone. I chatted her up today and from what i can tell I'm still in some good graces. She asked me why i didn't invite her to that invitational dance. She also asked if i liked her and i said "maybe, I like a lot of things" ( i thought that answer was kinda weak)

The sad thing though was the fact that i was fretting over making this call all weekend and i know i shouldn't have. I don't know if it was the fact that i thought i was gonna be rejected or the fact that i thought some lesser quality kid snatched her up.
