I've been trying to lay off the financial threads lately, as I have my own headaches in that department and I need my "off" time, but I could use some input if anyone else is up for it, sooo.....
I have a retail store that sells products primarily to the 18-24 male demographic.
We recently revamped our entire business model. We have a KILLER name and amazing concept. Our t-shirts with the funky sayings and eye catching logo attract a LOT of attention.
Here's where it gets good. Our advertising campaign revolves around two 30 minute spots on cable television every week. We do an infomercial show that highlights the store and features several funny skits. The whole thing has a sexual undertone, and recruit hot girls for our commercials and our tv show.
I once read something in a book where the author basically said "it doesn't matter what kind of business you go into....the idea is to GET yourself into business. From there you can figure out what direction to go to make money"
This statement really hit home, and it made me see that I need to be looking at the not so obvious for ways to become REALLY successful.
So now that I am in this kind of business I have a few resources available to me that most people don't have, and I want find a way to combine them to capitalize on my current situation. Here are the two main things I am working with:
1) Two half hour slots weekly on cable television. This is POWERFUL in many ways. I basically have an hour every week to convey whatever message I want to thousands of people in the area. I can also sell or trade out airtime to other people. Powerful, powerful stuff, especially if I can build a decent viewership for the show.
2) Models. I need girls for my television productions. I place an ad on craigslist and I get dozens of replies. Girls willing to work for free. I even have female friends that want to be on the show, and it's only going to get better. Another powerful resource.
I also have my foot in the door to get involved with some of the local strip clubs as well. I know some ex dancers who know the club owners and strippers. Might be able to add this to my arsenal as well.
Any ideas on how to put these things together?
Ideas such as a porn site, girls gone wild style dvd's, car shows, and turning our concept into a marketing machine have been tossed around.
I honestly believe that I have the foundation to build something HUGE...I just need to figure out a few creative ways to make it happen.
