ok so in my left eye, i'm 20/20, but my right eye is 20/60 (really bad)

i don't know exactly why this happened, but one time i got bleach in my right eye and had to go to the emergency room, and they told me that my cornea was almost all the way burnt through.

this causes me not to be able to see well in my right eye, and have below average depth perception. now note that i have no problem what so ever during a normal day, but i'm sort of looking into being a jet pilot in the future and that requires the best of eye sights.

so my question is : are there any ways to improve my eye sight?

also, this may not be the best site to be asking this question, so does anyone know another site that is more medical related?

Eat fruits/veggies and fish oils. Make sure you are getting a lot more than your daily reccomended servings.

Gel eye drops have improved my vision by lots. I use Refresh Liquigels. Don't get the watery eye drops, get the more gel like drops. They are more expensive, but worth it. Give it a try.

How long ago did u burn your eye?

well there was bleach in the sink and i turned on the water, and the bleach splashed up into my eyes, and then i rushed upstairs and ran it with water, then went to the emergency room.

when i went to go get my glasses, the doctor said it might also be genetic so...

and what do u mean by gel drops? just drops that keep ur eyes moist?

Yeah, keep your eyes moist.

I came onto this discovery when a contact split into a bunch piece in my eye when I put it on. It was painful. When I finally got the pieces out (by picking out the pieces with my fingers, dumbass technique, should've just put my head under water and blinked) I noticed a chunk of the surface of my eye missing. I went to the eye doctor, he gave me a band-aid contact lense and, some antibiotic eye drops, and the liquidgels. After my eye was all better, I noticed that my vision improved drastically. My power goes up a little every year, but has stayed constant ever since I started using the drops.

The reason why it works for me is cuz my eyes are dryer than most since I sleep with my eyes partially open. I used regular eye drops but they don't have the same lubricating effect as the gels.

How long ago was your incident?

this looks serious. Consult your eye doctor, preferable the one who treated you.
What is your yearly power change, and how old are you? Vision deteriation susposed to slow down when you reach adult hood (20's) but then speeds back up when your old (40-50's).

As for natural things. Take a walk, look at nature. Fish oils (5-30 grams aday), colorful variety of vegetables and fruits (emphasize the vegetables) at every meal. Eat 6 times a day. Sleep well.

Hopefully others here will give better advice. If not, try sherdog.net diet and supplement forums. They've been great.

this is quite serious, and unless an eye doc can find a fix, you might need to look for a new career path......
