hey guys

so it's been 3 weeks i'm training with jump rope every morning i started with 1000 (5 sets of 200 and 1 minute rest between every set) and now i'm doing 2200 (4 sets of 500 + 1 of 200 and 1 minute rest between every set)
after that every morning i'm doing only sit up and (i don't know how to say that but ...) lift up on a bar (?)
so for the sit up i starter 3 weeks ago with 140 and now i'm doing 280
and the lift up i started 1 week ago with 40 (4 stes of 10 and 1 minute rest between each set) and today i'm doing 50

so i need to know if i'm in a good way if i need to change something
and as i said i don't want to go to gym i just wanna train at home
the only reason i'm not doing push up it's because i started to study kung fu (wing chun style) and i need the flexibility between my arms and my chest (i need to put my elbow in the center of my body) but if i'll do push up i'll loose this flexibility

and BTW everyone here and in the DJ Bible saying that you need to train no more than 3 times a week and no more than 30 minutes so is that about gym or all sort of training ???

I think you're talking about pull-ups.

It looks good to me, although I think you might be doing a lot of reps.

I dont think push up decreases your flexibility at all.

You may train more than 3 times per week and more than 30 minutes. Its guidelines. It depends on how you train, how much you rest, what you eat, how long you train, and so on. I'd say 2-4 times a week for no more than 75 minutes per session. Guidelines of course.

when i said flexibility it was about my chest blocking my arm cause it's becoming bigger with push up

Aha, in that case. Well you need your chest to throw hard punches etc. Dont know if I would sacrifice my chest for slightly increased 'flexibility', but we got different values.

yeah
and basically you don't need the chest to throw a good punch just yesterday i saw a kung fu master look skinny but he had so much strenght even if a one finger hit on my arm i felt that like steel !
it's all in the movement and the mind state
and the flexibiliy is for the stance so yeah i need that i already have a chest that fit with my body so for the moment it's good enouh i'll see what to do later ! :)

Tell her a little about yourself, but not too much. Maintain some mystery. Give her something to think about and wonder about when she's at home.

For punching you basically do need a decent chest and core...When you throw a punch, your core acts like a counterweight to the amount of force in your punch.

Even Bruce Lee who started off with Wing Chun worked out his chest http://www.godofstyle.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/brucelee-pierreberton-interview.jpg
and I'm willing to bet he was stronger and more flexible than your kung fu master.

first of all the picture is only a drawing so bruce lee wasn't so big
and bruce lee studied wing chun for no more than 1.5 year and he was only 16 (or 15)
so he wasnt so big and when he got bigger he already invented his own kung fu without this flexibility between the chest and arm

one of the principle in wing chun is less strenght more speed to actually give 6 or 7 punches while with the strenght you can only give 1 or 2

but i do think that the strenght is not about your training and how many push up you doing or the weight you lifting its a little bit of that but it's also a big part in your brain !
