My Success Story

Is it possible to move from awkward socially to well on your way to a DJ in just a week? Don’t let anybody tell you it’s not- I’ve learned so from experience. I stumbled upon sosuave about a year ago, and thought it was a funny little experiment. What can a bunch of computer-using people possibly know about girls, life, and social exquisiteness? That’s what I thought, and I quickly continued to a random website. Then, about week ago, I was feeling down. Now, I wasn’t entirely socially awkward. I’m a pretty sharp-talking guy, though I never really had the cajones to be the front man.

But then I revisited sosuave last Wednesday. Extensive browsing. I found some motivational threads, and I read them and absorbed them. All that I could. I downloaded some inspirational tapes to, and put them on my iPod for on-the-go-listening. Since then, I think it’s made all the difference in the world. I wake up earlier in the morning. I eat a well-balanced breakfast. I wear cologne now. I had some image issues, but then took a look around and realized I’m probably a low 8. I stick to collared shirts, because they are a little classier. Most importantly, I stand up straight, and the key thing- I now say what I mean, and mean what I say. Always.

Just one week of this motivated mood has made all the difference in my life. It’s been exactly a week since I’ve applied this new lifestyle to myself. And in this little time, my life has completely transformed. Now quiet old me flirts with college chicks. Strange little me is always good for a smile. The new, brave me, fears no woman (no matter how beautiful), and no man. And boy have people noticed!

Just on the first day, the comments began to be heard. "I like your shirt," "you have gorgeous eyes." As the confident me began to exist more and more, the comments got better. "I just don't know how you do it- but you always know what just to say to make me smile," "Are you a magician? because you just made my frown disappear!" The list of comments go on and on. And I don't even consider myself good looking! (A 7.5-8 is what I've been told).

I now give my two cents wherever its welcome. I dare to challenge teachers. I dare to be the sole volunteer for making a fool out of myself on stage- but have such a good time, everyone enjoys it! I ask everybody I know how their day has gone. I wish everybody I meet a good day after leaving them. After all, you have to spread your happiness to others, right?

I just thought I'd thank you guys and give credit where credit is due. Sosuave has helped unlock the inner, suave me. And I feel that anybody can replicate the results. After all, just two weeks I was down on myself. Now, I don't care what others think of me, because I think I'm great right now!

Thank you, so suave!

Good job-very motivational thread. Maybe I just need to put myself in the light of possibly making a fool out of myself, challenging teachers, "authority", and such. I'm always quiet and seem tired despite getting 6-10 hours of sleep depending on the day, but maybe I just need to speak out more and ignore the risks of making myself a fool...and if I do, just laugh it off.

I know you are thanking SoSuave, but this post has actually helped my views and in return, I thank you.

That was great.

If you could, care to highlight some of the motivational posts that helped you out? (I know there is a motivational sticky, but it would be great to see which ones are most effect)

And what tapes helped you out? I would love to try all of this for myself.

Glad you guys like it! My first good contribution:D

My most helpful threads were written by Brazilian Blues Boy.... look for his motivational stuff, its quite good.

The tapes were both Ed Foreman. "How to make every day a terrific day," and "Habit patterns of winners." They seem a little dorky, but trust me on this one. Do what he says, and you'll be at the top of your game potential, always.
