Fair enough. While lighter skin does tends to correlate with better treatment in some cases, that isn't the point. You complexion, or look, indicates to others that you're of a minority group. You agree to this by your account of what you've said about yourself. By what you had said, you also would agree that ethnic women look up to white men, or non-ethnics, in general. By your premises, therefore, ethnic women won't look up to you. So in this scope, we do share a overlapping problem to varying degrees.

Remember, italians in the past have been discriminated in the US and many are of a similar complexion to yours, I presume. And while it's not as bad as the past, Spanish guys have their problems too when being weighed against white guys, in general (It really depends on location). As for your sister example, I wouldn't agree to its comparison considering that male-female dynamics are different. An example being men of all races chasing after asian women, but not too many women, including asian women, go for the asian guys in the US. So your sister being of a certain group or complexion doesnt necessarily validate the "marketing value" of your position, which I presumed you to be implying.

Going ahead, your downluck probably has something to do with a multitude of other factors. Many white guys fail online too. And while you claim to be similar to the cop in personality, you simply aren't the same. No one's the same. Different women with different backgrounds discover different men with different personalities at different times under different moods in different circumstances. Do you even know if the chick he'd connected to discovered your profile for the similarity claim to be remotely relevant?

Man, my advice would just be to go out lol. OLD is an ineffective dating solution in my opinion for the majority of guys. Even if you're good looking, there are many more gl guys online that likely dwarf your looks.

it's not that easy to do it in real life. I am very picky - I want a dark skinned but still Eurpean looking mid to late 20s girl who is professional job, has no kids, cute face and decent body - basically female version of me (although I'm not decent body, I'm awesome body and Im extraordinarily successful)

I live in suburbs so it's all single moms and cougars here

But at the end of the day, she was in England, and I got her down to effort. I also played up a little the cultural stereotype she had of me for a laugh (same as a black guy might do? Who cares?).

If I were black, i'd do the same thing. People banging on about race are basically male-feminists. And each one is an example of piss poor inner-game.

Are you suggesting that Italian girls are generally racist to the English, like the Polish, but you connected with the exception?

I can't tell if you're suggesting that I said anything about women who were associated with bias populations are unattainable or something.

The best answer I can give, which is more of a defense I guess, until I receive your clarification is.. I made sure to throw the "in general" phrase because not all women are the same and they're all susceptible to different ideologies to varying degrees. I would also like to point out that I implied race as simply a factor among many other factors that has influence in the game.

I do share your notion somewhat about blacks banging on about race having an inner game issue, but their views are valid up to a point. Race is a factor which can be significant or minor depending on the girl. This is something a minority in the US with deep racist institutions would relate to, however. Your words are optimistic, but over-simplistic and idealistic about a real, complex issue that doesn't involve you. Not to give the impression of being rude over text man, but that's how it is.

OP, you were the one that brought up the "issue" though?... And we're past the complexion point and moved backed into the more precisely relevant "ethnic group" point, at least I thought. C'mon man! Lol

EDIT: Like all changing spaces, OLD has its own little cultural customs and norms as well as interrelated with the real world. Like how the dating environment changes offline, it's susceptible for changes online as well. But my point, if not made clear, was inferring that the chick who saw your friend's profile didn't see your profile for you to make a relevant comparison, and had she did, her standards would've likely changed over the years. So if you made a new OLD account, you again couldn't really make the claim that she would pick your friend over you without substantial evidence.
