My girlfriend might be dating other people

I have been dating this girl for a few months we both think we're perfect for each other. Her parents think otherwise. Here's why: I was the first guy she has ever dated and she is a little worried that she doesn't know if she loves me since she has no one to compare me to. Her parents have set her up with a date with a guy (a nice guy she talked to a few times). He parents keep bugging her about dating other people and in many ways, they control her life. They want her to date other people, to test the waters, to see if I am truly the best thing for her.

I don't want my girlfriend to date other guys. I feel very uncomfortable about this.

Seriously.

You don't want to be with a chick that is:

#1 -controlled by her parents

And

#2 - You don't have her parents respect.

Nothing you can do will earn it, at this point, so move on. It's just not worth it, dude. Plenty of girls out there that WILL know when they love you. She sounds like a chick who lacks her own identity. Big issues to be found if you dig around in there.

Let her go, and do her thing and figure out what she wants, which wont include you, cuz if you're smart, you'll be gone. Go date other women, see how you still feel about this one.

So let me get this straight...did she already AGREE to go on a date with this dude?? That her PARENTS set her up with?? Wow. Anyway, get out of this one.

Did her parents tell you this or did she? It's common for girls to use their parents as a buffer to excuse their own bad behaviours and absolve themselves of all blame (like dumping a guy for no meaningful reason).

A girl who's really into you would defy her family all the way to be with you.

Just tell her that you understand she must respect her parents' wishes and let her go. Try to set up some other girls to branch swing to before that though.

You wouldn't care about it if you were dating other women.

I would tell her that he seems like a really nice guy, and that she should go out with him to make her parents happy. Then while the AFC buys her dinner and kisses her on the cheek afterward, I would be off fvcking some other girl. After your girl ditches the AFC, she will call you for sex, which is your chance to screw two different girls in the same night. I have done that a lot.

Seconded.
It's a great opportunity and on a side note it might cure you from the oneitis you're starting to develop. ("we both think we're perfect for each other" is a bright red flag)

aka you're not allowed to be in love on this site. Or in anyway think that you might be with someone you could honestly be happy with.

Yup, you actually need a permit for that. :)

The guy's problem is the "WE both think blabla" phrase is a sign of wishful thinking. A girl's feelings are shown through her actions, not her words.

That's not true mate, you're just bitter about something, or so it seems.

Being in love is fine and having deep feelings for a woman is equally acceptable, but a lot of men lose thier head when they are in love and do not stick to reality or keep their feet firmly on the ground and in the end get hurt.

You can be in love and keep your independence and strong willed character. I have seen so many men change who they are around the woman they love, and then revert back to normal when she isn't around.

It's pathetic isn't it?

You need strike a balance between love/feelings and reality, women want a man who is strong and has a soft side, they don't want a wet sponge which is what a lot of men become when they fall in love.

True love outside of what you get from parents and relatives does not exist.

At least not in this age if it ever did.

Relationships are conditional flimsy attachments at best subject to change with the direction of the winds.

So have fun with your "love" but when wifey divorces you, takes half your sh!t and runs off with Tyrone the mandingo with the 24 inch c0ck don't come crying to us.

We told you the score ahead of time ace.

As for what that guy you quoted said it is true that when something seems too good to be true it usually is.

So thats a definite red flag to watch out for in the dating scene.
