My Fitness Assessment

So I went for a fitness assessment at gym this afternoon.

Ive never been an athlete or have made fitness a major priority in my life but man, today made realize how out of shape I am.

As the fitness instructor was taken my measurements, observing my strength and flexibility(which is pretty weak by most standards) I thought about how I have procrastinated this long to face the truth about my body.

The purpose of this post to is remind me of what I have become. a fat slob. Im tired of looking this way. Sure i get chicks and all. but that dont matter because I want to be the best ME possible.

My health ..well my life is the one thing I have control over and I want it in the best physical shape possible.

Wish my luck boys. cause Im going to need it.

Make the workouts as part of your daily routine and lifestyle.

Are you getting a personal trainer or working out on your own?
Gym? or Home gym?

I will be working with a personal trainer at my local gym. He took all my measurements, observed my flexibility and strength.

I have my first training session tomorrow afternoon and I hope to follow it up with Yoga on Sunday and BJJ Monday.

I bought some epson salts cause I know my body wil be aching. But hey, no pain no gain.

I will receive my measurements tomorrow. I will post them to show my progress.

Cool man. Sounds good. Keep up the progress and let us know how everything is going.

DAY 1 - Personal Trainer

HAd my first personal trainer experience and it was a great experience.

Didnt do an intense work out because we mostly focused on form and technique.

Started off with 10 reps of pushups. then 10 reps of Pull ups. rest for 30 seconds then did 10 reps of squats with a 10 pound weight.

another 30 second break and we did 1 minute of planking and 10 reps of supermans followed by 1 minute of waving these two long, thick ass ropes. (man those freaking killed me)

back to 10 reps of push ups, 10 reps of pull ups, 10 squats and back to waving the ropes.

I felt busted after that.

Then came the best part of the work out. We focused on stretching and breathing. Did 15 minutes of that and I was done.

Felt awesome after. I felt like a weight was lifted off my shoulders so to speak. Booked for another personal training session for monday.

I didnt get my measurements but my personal trainer had said that he will provide all that information when i come in next week. IM looking forward to it.

With Yoga and BJJ this weekend im going to be sore come Sunday.
