NEVER remove a piercing after five days..what the f*ck, who pierced your ears that didn't tell you that? You shouldn't remove it to clean it, clean with the jewelry in there. Cartilege piercings shouldn't be removed for one to one-and-a-half years following the piercing.

i had a problem similar to this problem. I've had an earlobe peircing since february, i didn't take out the earring for about a month. When I took it out, it would go through the front hole easy but it would be a little difficult to get it through the back hole. I managed to get it through though.

Now about 2 weeks ago, i bought one of those 20 dollar earrings and I slept with it on knowing that there was a little pain, but didn't pay it any attention. when I woke up, it was hurting, so i took the earring out, felt a lump inside the ear, tried to put the good earring back in but still couldn't get to the back. I drained the ear of the pus as much as i can, but eventually it just lead to me leaving the earring out n letting the hole close up.

I plan on getting it pierced again when i can afford good earrings. So most likely you just have to keep them in for a long time and keep rotating them and cleaning them to hopefully avoid the problem of it not goin through easy.

u arent supposed to take out an earring for 2-6 months and that is only to clean the earring. I've had my cartilidge close on me a couple times. The worst was after about 2-3 weeks with nothing in them. I just push through and rebreak the skin, and then periodically twist the earring to widen the hole.

But seriously fellas who is piercing your ears? I went to Claire's and they gave me a brochure and a WHAT NOT TO DO list

I had that problem as well. I knew nothing about piercings, and was told not to take it out for two months, clean it while in the ear, turn it, etc. After two months, I took it out to clean it, and the b1tch wouldn't go back in. So, I grabbed my balls and pushed it back through again. Hurt like a motherfvcker, but it worked. I'm now the proud owner of a hole in my head :)

I got mine at Wal-Mart and they said not to take it out for 10 days or more. But they did say to twist it and clean it in the ear.

There are times my earrings won't go back in if I take them out (like to sleep occasionally) so I just do the following:

- Take a nice, long hot shower

- Kind of "massage" the area where the earring hole is

- When you get out, try putting the earring back in. If it works, great. If not...Well, move it around a little and you might find the hole. If it really has closed up (usually takes a few days to do it), then go get it re-pierced.

Good idea. Professional body piercers are the only way to go if you want holes in you. The piercing gun was the worst thing that could have happened to body modification.
