Check it guys. I've always been a skinny guy, but now I'm wondering why I'm not growing wider. I have been lifting for almost 7 years and I am extremely proud of my sculpted body. I am a muscular guy and when I take my shirt off you can see how cut I am. The problem is I'm not getting wider. I get muscles growing, but I just happen to have a thin waist so it looks kinda weird. I'm 6'3" 195 lbs., but it's deceptive. I probably look like 170 lbs. because it's all tightly packed muscle and I have a thin waist.

Does anybody know how to get wider? I've been following a bulking diet and bulking plan for 2 months, but it's not doing that much. I've gained 10 pounds and I'm lifting heavier, but I'm still thin around the waist. Think of a basketball player if that helps.

Dude - I'll bet you look like a fashion model with those lithe sculpted muscles. I have a similar build - I have a 30-inch waist but ripped mucles that contour over my body beautifully (damn that sounded narcissistic :p). That is a ideal physique to have. I mean, if you know that you can press just as much as the stocky muscular guy next to you or grapple him and pin him to the ground, what's the big deal? Be proud of that sculpted body you've created, and don't feel self-conscious. You're being silly dude.

You said youve been lifting for 7 years, but how much muscle mass do you think youve packed on? You said youve been following a bulking diet for 2 months (thats really a VERY short time span) and packed on 10 lbs of mass (which is just too little mass to make a difference with your shirt on). Actually you should of been on a bulking diet / bulking routine for the 7 years youve been working out otherwise most of those 7 years were in vain...

Anyways, be honest with yourself and try to estimate how much mass uve gained by working out (and then subtract the water/fat weight). My guess is if you stick to your bulking routine for another 2-3 years and youll be around the 210 youll see a difference with your clothes on without looking too bulky.

Like 2-3 years ago when I was lets say 15 lbs lighter or whateva nobody noticed i was working out when I was wearing ordinary clothes, now Ive probably been told up to a hundred times how big ive gotten. (sorry if that sounds narcisstic but its true and i just mention this to motivate you ;-)). I bet you if you're at around 210 lbs (without too much bodyfat) ppl will start tellin u how big youve become. So keep working out and keep your head up!

Yeah, I'm trying to get to 210, but still you'd look at me and expect me to weigh 170 and bench about 170. The reality is I weigh 195 and I can bench over 250. I think it's a great body, but it would help with the girls to be a little wider. I think once my legs catch up I might get wider because I've neglected them for a while.

Who cares if you gain a little fat while bulking? As you said your thin so you can just cut it off anyways.
