Moving out of the ultimate bachelor pad. Three story townhouse with 2 car garage and a fourth floor rooftop jacuzzi, walk to all the clubs, restaurants, etc downtown. I heard an NBA player recently bought one on the other side of the drive, that's how PIMP this place is.
Kinda tired of hosting the parties what seems like every weekend, and climbing the stairs is a pain, but I will miss some things about it
So......the new place.......
14th floor in a brand new highrise overlooking the pool with a view of the city. Several restaurants, bars, and movie theaters are scheduled to open soon right in the same building. It's basically in the epicenter of the entertainment district. I will be able to take the elevator down and within a minute be eating at my favorite Thai restaurant, or hanging out at any one of the dozens of bars or clubs.
Sounds great huh?
Well, there are a few drawbacks.
1) It takes FOREVER to wind your way through TEN floors of a parking garage that might as well be a MAZE. I have to go through 2 security gates to park in the tiniest parking spot I have ever seen. Hello door dings! Oh, did I mention that when you are driving through the garage you see places every few feet where people have literally scraped the walls with their cars. the garage is THAT bad.
2) Once you get parked you have to hit a fingerprint pad to get into the elevator. Once you are IN the elevator you have to enter a code, and hit the fingerprint pad again. It probably takes 7-8 minutes just to get from the street into the condo. What a pain.
3) The condo is what they call a "soft loft". Basically, the living room is separated by the bedroom by a half wall. What if I bring back a chick and she has a friend in tow? I'll either have to pull off a threesome, or have sex in the closet!
You say, "Why did you move in there then?". It's a long story, but I kind of have to for now. I guess it could be worse.
