Well small boxing community here, only a week away from Mosley V Cruz and Barerra V Peden!

Who wins these fights?

Most will pick Mosley and Barerra (although many would have picked Morales in his last fight also).

I say Mosley V Cruz is a reasonably tough fight, probably goes the distanace! Mosley takes a hard fought decision by scores of around 117-111 or 116-112.

Barerra V Peden is a very close fight, Barerra wins by a very very close decision, possibly even by a MD or SD.

Thoughts?

Gangsta, what did you think of the Morales loss, considering he is one of your favourite fighters?

Mosley vs Cruz: Mosley by KO Mid. With Mosley dominating most of the fight.

Barrera vs Peden: Should be a close fight. Barrera wins by KO Late.

On another note, Manny Pacquiao with an impressive win knocking out Hector Velazquez (6th round TKO). He's a walking hero here in the Philippines.

You sound like you know your boxing at least. Both picks seem very credible.

Barerra fight may be similar to Marquez V Peden. Not to mention Cruz chin is not tested, so he may well be stopped in the mid rounds.

Do not be too easy. If you are too easy to get, she will not want you. If you are too easy to keep, she will lose interest in you. If you are too easy to control, she will not respect you.

lol, Peden has a chance, he can punch.

I dont give Cruz much of a chance, Mosley looked a lot faster and his punch output rose last fight! He looks like he is somewhat getting back to the Mosley that beat DLH at welter. Therefore, I see it hard to beat Mosley on points with him fighting with that speed and punch output, the best way to beat him is to use power. And Forrest was the only one at welter that could do so! Not to mention Cruz doesnt pack nearly as much heat as Forrest.

I dont see much of a way Cruz can win, he looks solid and decent, but nothing spectacular. Not to mention, he has not fought anyone great. I still say Mosley on points.

Peden got pounded by Juan Manuel Marquez, who I think is the best featherweight in the world. He has a chance, yet I see Barrera breaking him down late in the fight.

Barrera Tko9

Mosley Tko10

Yeah, these were relatively easy picks, especially the Mosley fight I thought. I must admit though, I didnt think Peden was going to be schooled that easily, although then again, Barerra is a great boxer!

Gangsta, or for others of you who knows these fighters well. How do you see Sanchez and Argeullo, comparing to Barerra and Morales at feather? Who wins these fights?

I personally see Arguello and Sanchez both being too good for Morales and Barerra, hard fights though.

did you see the Cotto and Klit fight?

Both were entertaining in my book. Cotto showed me has heart and will be a forced to be reckoned with. Although I see Floyd Mayweather hurting him if they ever throw down.

Cotto definately has some heart, although I definately used to think more of him than I do now. I want to see him step it up, a fight against Hatton would be great, but that will never happen. Floyd V Cotto is a possibility if Arum actually wants to make fights happen!

Klit, yeah I thought he would beat Peter, pretty much in that exact way, minus a KD or two. I though Peter showed heart and power, but once again, that a good boxer with a good chin is too much for him. Vitali IMHO still easily rules that division and has showed why for years! He has dominated all these pretenders, including Byrd who is somehow managing to hold onto his belt! Anyways, heavyweights suck, cant wait for Jones V Tarver! Man less than a week away!

Clooney I would hardly say that Vlad Klitschko has a good chin, he just executed his game effectively and out boxed the swinging Peter. I actually did think Peter would knock him out, but I have to give it to him, he did box well.

Hatton is going to fight Maussa next, he should win this fight rather convincgly.

Jones vs Tarver 3??? tough to call.... Does Roy have a glass jaw? if he doesn't, he should win.

LOL, man, after working on an Essay all day long, no wonder I wrote wrong! My brain was fried!

Yeah, sorry he doesnt have a good chin, no idea what I was talking about, decent, but not good, thats for sure! I am talking bout his brother, he is the ruler of that division without a doubt! Vitali! NOT Wlad!

Yeah, Hatton will win that fight EASILY!

Jones V Tarver, I still say Tarver will win! Unless Jones uses his bike and manages a points victory! Man, CANNOT wait until this fight, my most anticipated fight EVER I think! Really hope Jones can pull it off any way possible!

What I meant to say in this part is that a good boxer (as I rate him better than his brother at boxing), with a DECENT chin outboxes a guy like Peter. Much as Lewis did to Tua (who is very similar to Peter, although Tua showed no heart at times), shame considering the way he went toe to toe with Ibeabuchi!

Roy Jones Jr. should retire. The embarrassing loss against Glen Johnson (a 35 yr old, slightly above avg. fighter), proved he is clearly past his prime. The hand speed and quickness is no longer there. He has nothing to prove and will go down as one of the best boxers of all-time, I hate to see him get hurt. Antonio Tarver will end Roy Jones Jr's career.

Alright, so I leave to go interstate for a few days and wont be back until after the fight. My last prediction, RJJ by close points decision! haha, what a wierd pick considering his last outings.

Merkerson says Jones is training like the Jones of the early 90s, much more than he did for the Johnson fight. Tarver one he looked exhaused from his body draining down from heavy, and Tarver 2 he was in shape, was just caught with a flush shot, trying to stand in there with Tarver.

Fight 3, Roy looks a lot sharper than people think he will (he is 35, but not 40, a big difference, he with the right training, will still have some reflexes left), not to mention Tarver has aweful footwork! Tarver has great upperbody movement, this is why roy will target his body with straight rights and then get out of there. Roy is faster than Tarver also. Roy will use his bike, throwing lead rights to the body and head, scoring points, Tarver will get some good flurries off, but Roy will take them, wobbled at times.

Roy takes this by very close decision.
